Chapter 274: Impermanent Settling

Just as expected, eventually the king did call. 

He requested the presence of the knights who had returned from the journey and also said that they would be attending a dinner in the palace with the Royal Knights the evening afterward. 

All the Knights of Hydrogia were invited. 

Henry and Callum found it strange that the other nobles weren't invited, but neither of them could take a temperature of the situation without actually being there. 

The moment Henry heard the news that he would be able to see the princess in a day caused his world to feel suffocating with anticipation. He worried about so many things all at once. 

It occurred to him at times like that if he would ever get used to having someone like the princess around. He hoped that showing up in front of the king would give him a shred of the confidence he desired. Passing the test given to him was his way of at least establishing a name for himself.
