Chapter 20: Chapter ２０

Even though I'm no assistance at all, William manages to pull me off his a** and straighten up our clothes. The tears just keep coming. I have no idea why I'm so upset. Words begin to form as William pulls me back into his lap and embraces me securely. I can now breathe a sigh of relief since it's finished. I know I'll be glad we didn't tie the knot someday. How come I'm in so much pain?

"It's never easy to say goodbye, sweetie. Even if they're required." He won't let go of me, consoling me with his strong embrace and asking for nothing in return. He is perfectly willing to watch me weep in silence. I wish I could say that after four days of sobbing, I have enough tears to fill the ocean, but the truth is that I still can't stop.
