Chapter 57: The Last Step

"Come in"

The door gives way as Bella entered with a handful of different files. Ai Mi peeped from behind her computer to see who had knocked and entered some seconds ago.

"Good morning, Chipmunk"

"Same, squirrel" Bella chuckles hearing the reply of Ai Mi.

"You're lucky you're my boss" she lands on the desk of Ai Mi different files filled with the day's work and VAC reports. Ai Mi eyes the files as it leaves the hands of Bella.

"Did you see the guy Zhi Ruo sent?"

"It was Haoz-"

Ai Mi had not finished saying the 'Z' in the guy's name, when Bella nearly choked on an empty mouth.

"Haozi Bao? Your step brother?"

Ai Mi immediately went to the second computer behind hers to see if the camera in her office can be traced in any other office, including the government's system.

After confirming that nothing was being recorded at that moment, she replied Bella.

"You mean the next step"

Bella couldn't hold her jaw from dropping open wide.
