Chapter 170: Welcome Back

Suddenly, I felt restless and decided to climb out of the bathtub and get dressed. The sun had long set by that time, and it was already dark outside. Just when I got changed into a soft silk night gown, there was a disturbing knock at my bedroom door.

It can’t be him. I sighed when I realized that it couldn’t possibly be the prince as I cursed myself silently for how disappointed I felt.

“Yes?” I called out to the one knocking on my door.

“It’s me,” a familiar voice said from the other side of the door.

“Hi…” I said softly as I opened the door.

Madame Sand stood in front of my door with an unreadable expression on her face. She was dressed in her usual uniform. Her eyes glanced past me into my room, and I immediately stepped aside to let her in before closing the door behind us. The atmosphere suddenly felt tense and that was probably because I realized that she was here to gather details for her report.
