Olivia POV

My nerves seized all over me, holding me where I was as I tried to make sense of what I was seeing. Despite my fear, I followed Ellis’s steady gaze. Past the agents from the house who had come on the plane, including Amber, to where Uncle Anthony and Lynn stood.

Uncle Anthony and Lynn were standing close but seemed like they were trying to avoid each other. It was strange to see but that was the impression I got. Uncle Anthony could be hard to read, always looking fairly likable, even when he was about to spring a trap. The question was, who was the trap set for?

“Jesse, take Olivia directly to the hotel. Anthony will keep an eye on Lynn,” Ellis said as he grabbed my hand.

“Who will keep an eye on Anthony?” Jesse asked.

“It doesn’t matter.”

With Ellis by my side and Jesse at my back, we headed to the waiting car. I wasn’t sure who to trust, except for the two men who were closest to me.
