"Baby, how about the car you promised? I need another five hundred thousand dollars to go shopping," the redhead said, raking her fingers over Lorenzo's torso. He had worn gray sweatpants and was bare up.

"Don't touch me," he warned, his face cold. "You know how I hate that. Stop whining and get ready to leave. I will have Matteo take care of all that."

"Are we not past this if I am giving intel on my boss, Lorenzo? You don't --"

"Leave. Aubrey. Leave."

She gathered her things, zipping her gown. Displeased, "stop treating me like a whore."

"But you are a whore," Lorenzo corrected.

"Fuck you."

He chuckled. "Have you heard anything from Luca, his end is quiet. That cunt was always after my empire. His silence bothers me."

"I heard he is recruiting someone who will take you out. The details are wavy." She arranged her hair while staring at her swollen lips in the full-length mirror next to Lorenzo's wardrobe.
