Mark was happy realizing there were hidden achievements that could give him lots of rewards. Last Silver chest he earned an ancient spirit contract which resulted in his Blue Emperor Grass martial spirit. It made him able to cultivate but he still lacked the means to do so thus was anxious of the reply of the Elector Count of Marienberg.
Mark still has a few mission that he needed to do but with the omnitrix things would be easy as long as he could find time to focus on those missions. He looked at the mission list and saw that he was almost halfway in the Biodiversity mission and maybe he could hasten it if he find time to hunt some dangerous beast in this world.

As much as Mark wanted to finish this he must make sure this new fief he has is taken care of, that's why he did not outright kill every noble as he needed someone to do menial task for him. Mark has been discussing with the vampires and the two noble women of the plans he had for the stability of his new territory for hours.
Simple matter were given to his new subordinates as a show of trust that of sorts to ease their worries. He was new to this handling of territories but it was quite similar to handling a business that he has experience in. These people were not loyal to him and only did it due to his higher position in titles. He needed to do something that will make these people work earnestly for him and not have any funny thoughts in the future.
As Mark was signing documents as well as giving funds to reorganize the fief of his, a certain messenger he was waiting for arrived in front of his mansion. He smiled as he stood up and got his coat then said to Melissa.
"You handle the small matters here, there is a matter of importance that I must attend to." Mark swiftly went to a secluded part of the Keep where he put a Anywhere door for access in his backyard.
"As you wish my lord." Melissa bowed as she watched Mark leave, she then looked at the women present in the room who were curious but did not ask questions. The vampires were still shaken at what Mark had shown them and the Ladies were still scared of offending their new lord.
"Is the new Lord single?" a timid voiced asked which made the eyes in the room focus on a young pretty girl whose face was blushing a little. She was the now widowed wife of the former Baron but was hired by Mark as he found her to be quite talented in handling finances. She was a daughter of a ruined merchant family who sold her for money to the Baron when the old man took interest in her.
"As far as I remember since I worked for Lord Mark, there has been no indication that he is on a relationship nor does he show signs of wooing a lady." Melissa still answered as she was indeed curious too.
"I heard that the first daughter of the Duke took a liking to Lord Mark." said the vampire Baronet as she had heard her husband talk about it with the other rebellious nobles. Soon the room was awash with whispers and giggles as they gossiped about the possible love life of their new Lord. They were tense when he was there earlier as he was the only man but as soon as he left be it vampire or human, girls will always like to gossip.
[In the Mansion]
Mark did not know that his trusted workers were now working while gossiping about him as he walked out the mansion of his to meet the man he had sent with the letter he wrote to the Baron of Westerland. It was nighttime already so there were no people around the streets as Mark walked cover in his coat and wore a hat.
He walked behind the Great Hall to get inside through the side door as his Butler Golem guided the messenger inside. Mark sat as soon as the doors opened and walked in the Golem alongside the messenger who bowed and went to hand a letter to the Golem. Mark soon received the letter as he did not care much for formalities to begin with.
He saw the wax seal with the stamp of a shield with wave patterns, over the shield a naked mermaid holding a sword on her right hand and a pouch with a glittering gold coin on her left hand. Mark opened the letter and read the contents, soon smile appeared on his lips as his proposal was accepted by the Elector Count.
Mark had wrote that he will take care of making the Duke of L'Anguille leave his domain for the price of two ships with cabins filled with slaves from various races. Mark was not some messiah like those in other fantasy novels, he knew that he lacked many things and that was talents in various fields. He knew that these nobles of Brettonia would look down on slavery but Mark was not even going to leave proof of it.
The Baron stated that if the reneged on his promise then he would earn the ire of the Elector Count and show this letter to the other nobles of Brettonia of his un-chivalrous act. He thought Mark was reckless but he did not know that Mark would not even show the slaves in public at all. He'll put all of them in his backyard and if the slaves include Elves as well as dwarves then more profit for him.
Mark knew the Black Market in Marienberg is vast but it had not yet grown to its potential as the city was not that old yet. In the Future the whole of Marienberg would even declare their independency from the empire which shows how much influence the merchants have in the city. So having their ships and ports controlled by Brettonians meant that their income would be damaged.
Him giving this promise would not make the Elector Count lose anything at all and if he could then their ships and products could be put into Market again. A two ship worth of slaves is nothing compared to years of income lost thus the Baron agreed to the demand of this arrogant fledgling noble of Brettonnia. Mark was sure the Baron was laughing at his letter and could not think of anything Mark could do to get two ships and the whole of L'Anguille's army out the city.
"Hans, release the prisoners. They could leave now." Mark said towards the shadow in the corner and Hans voice sounded out.
"Yes My lord." The messenger was alarmed as he did not see the one armed old man there since he came inside. Mark smiled as he walked out and went to his mansion to get a set of Armor for tonight, he did not care about those people anymore as they were not a threat to him.
"Hehehe, pretty sure that Baron was laughing at me thinking I am a fool. I'm going to buy a camera so I could capture his stunned face tomorrow." Mark grinned as he knew that just using his omnitrix alone could solve everything in one night. Thus he went back to the Mansion and prepared to gear up.
