Write a reviewThose readers of this site who only read 1 chapter and want to give an assessment as if they already know what the whole novel is like is sad. The only works that deserve such treatment are works with a harem. This is a very good work and extremely slow development. It takes you a while to catch up to her rhythm. The mc suffers so much that when he achieves something good you are happy for him. If you like the game Project Zomboid, then this ff will probably appeal to you.
Amazing story. Probably the best Naruto fanfic I’ve ever read. I especially love the realism even if most readers didn’t appreciate it as much since they aren’t used to a fanfic with non op mc. Thank you for writing this amazing fanfic.
It's been a while since I gave a review, but this work really inspired me and changed my view of fanfictions as a whole, so at least I could do is give a review. Writing Quality- Grammer is good, and then showing emotions, actions for some event happening is really good, it can really get you immersed and even make you feel intense emotions. Update Stability- Though, you could deduce this by seeing how long first chapter was released and how many chapters there are, I would say that 3 chap per week is good, and even then, chapters are mostly decently long, so that's good. Story Developement-- Though it's sometimes frustrating at how slow the arcs are moving, it is really good as most of the content Author presents is relevant, though microscopically that is. Character Design- There are a lot of OCs, and though there could be more fleshing out for certain recurring characters, I don't think it's required as at the level it had been done, it's good. World Building--> It really elborates on the gap between a genin and Jounin, which many fanfictions decided to ignore, along with many ninja aspects like stealth, fights and so on. Overall- Though, it's slow, I like it, as that itself is part of it's charm
I don't understand why this story does not like. it is a little slow but normal, the protagonist is growing and gaining experience. I like how the story and character are stutturata, all dynamics have been thought beautifully, nothing is left to chance. Thanks author!
"GG Supreme" that's how good this fanfic is if I have to describe the Story so for in two stance for people to understand. It's a slow weak to strong protagonist adventure journey in "Naruto" Shinobi universe. Takuma our protagonist or "MC" in this series has to struggle so much in the beginning as an outsider with no chet or any system to help him you can imagine how much he has to work on for every Arc just to make it out alive. You can trust the author or support him in the PAT**REON to read more advance chapter...
Love the story I recommend this if you want a story that is different from most other Naruto based fanfics
almost all fan fic has bad writing, but this book isn't one of them everything is on another level, it is a read, ( advice: try to read it if it reaches 500 chapters)
To preface, I’ve read to chapter 156 ish. This review will probably sound quite negative so I’m gonna preface by saying this is really easy to read. I would say it’s well written but that would contradict what I’m gonna complain about below. The background is amazingly fleshed out, Naruto’s already amazing world is fleshed out amazingly in this story with it being amazingly interesting to found out about. The original ideas added are incredible and add so much depth to the world that was sorely missing to Konoha throuh this. It updates at fine pace it seems, not webnovel standards but quality over quantity so that’s fine. This nove, is better than 99% of fics on the site so there’s no problem with that. However, here’s the negative parts. There’s a slow story, and there’s this. It’s too slow, everything about it is sluggish. I feel sluggish reading it. The power development is sluggish. I like reading the story but it also don’t feel happy reading the story either. It’s a very depressing book to read, which I think defeats the purpose of reading a story as why would you read something that makes you unhappy? One thing I saw that I agreed with is there’s no antagonist to him, no antithesis to his ideals and points of view. The so called drug guy he’s aligned with that’s his biggest antagonist seems to have been shelved right now even though the main enemy for him right now should be him. Another thing I saw from people who enjoyed this story was that this story isn’t based on power, but is instead built on the character relationships and such. However I couldn’t care less about most of them. His dialogue with his sensei was really heartwarming however that was shelved. Any rivalry with the drug guy seemed to have been shelved as they were great duo to watch as he really brought him into the underworld and that was a good dynamic to read but that’s gone. Any meaningful tension/development from the healer girl reveal was wasted because he doesn’t seem to interact with her anymore which sucks because that reveal has fallen flat now. Heck, even the relationship between relationship between Takuma and the genin corp man was nice to read with him being proud of him but that’s naturally passed. Dialogue between characters is fine but realistically I don’t really care about most of them apart from Takuma and Taro but once again they don’t really interact with each other anymore. None of the people in the police department are that interesting except maybe Gouki and that one manager who didn’t like civilian shinobi but nobody else is that interesting to read about. Final thing I don’t like is the power scaling. It’s atrocious. I care for the mc because you’re supposed to and want I want Takuma to succeed. However if I’m reading until chapter 150 and he can’t take a Chunin by himself it’s incredibly frustrating to read because there doesn’t feel like any meaningful progress. If Quinn was too powerful. Takuma is too weak.
the overall story is sooo good .the only bad thing is having to wait for the next. sure the author updates weekly with alteast 3 chapters buttt tthe wait is ...................................sigh
Second rating, this is definitely one of the best, if not the best Naruto fanfic I've ever read, the author was on a dangerous side, and this could easily be rubbish, but when you notice the small, almost imperceptible improvements of the MC , you love it and here's to another 5 stars.
Me encanta esta historia, es bastante original además de que el protagonista va creciendo poco a poco y no se saca poderes de la nada. me gusta como se va desarrollando los diferentes conflictos y las diferentes tramas que van surgiendo.
Good. But It is not fanfic for webnowel. it's not about fucking everyone, or domination without effort. MC are smart, humane, hardworking, and actually feels like real human being.
It's a Naruto fanfic that isn't about Naruto, but a story that explores the intricacies of being a shinobi and their world. Because of my preference of villains that's actually rational and cunning, I am bothered by how Danzo and the Root were handled. In my perspective, they just became the stupid evil which was quite common in Naruto fanfics and a trope that I quite dislike because it reduces the complexity of a character, hence making them one-dimensional, and beating one-dimensional villains aren't really satisfying. Other than that, I actually enjoyed the MC's gradual descent to amorality. His war crimes also made it easier to enjoy his suffering to the point I'm looking forward for it.
A very well written plot, but a very horrible progress. Ah yes this is supposed to be slow and steady but truth be told very few of us got that patience thanks to the internet. The character design is downright horrendous, but seeing the progress also gives out some sort of satisfaction. Overall a decent work but I'm sure many of you wont find it to your liking with one piece ahh pacing [img=faceslap]
Review: Naruto: The Outsider's Resolve is, without a doubt, one of the best and most realistic stories ever written in the Naruto fanfiction world. The more you read, the more addicted you become, as the story grows in interest like compound interest. It takes time to fully grasp the intricate layers and how everything works together, but the patience is worth it. It’s a story that offers a delicious apple for everyone but saves a ripe and succulent mango for those willing to stick with it. The introduction alone hooks you with its sarcastic humor and grounded tone: “Make the best of what you have, they said... But what am I supposed to do when the best I have are red-eyed freaks, a child who's supposed to be the jailor of the most dangerous being in the world, a snake bastard with serious boundary issues, and a whole world of super soldiers with licenses to murder... Oh shut it, old man! Take that Will of Fire and shove it up your— Yeah, this second swing at life isn't panning out...” This sets the tone for a gritty, realistic journey of Takuma, a normal guy transported into the Narutoverse. His progress is slow, as he starts with nothing—no resources, no allies, and no exceptional abilities. Yet his struggles, determination, and gradual growth are incredibly satisfying. The story’s pacing might feel slow at first, but it’s purposeful, allowing you to dive deep into Takuma’s world and witness his transformation. The fights are bloody, gritty, and intense, with a heavy focus on taijutsu. The story also expands on the chakra power system while staying true to its original feel. The Narutoverse is darker, painted as a world of superhuman mercenaries with licenses to kill. Takuma’s journey is one of perseverance and survival, and now that he’s found his path to strength, the story is reaching new heights. This fanfiction is a masterpiece, rewarding patient readers with a deeply immersive and satisfying narrative. If you love a protagonist who works hard for every ounce of progress, Naruto: The Outsider's Resolve is a must-read. Takuma’s journey is worth every moment of the wait!
This fic is amongst the best of the best in naruto fanfic community on this app(right up there with Naruto:The wind of calamity but I prefer this story as the MC atleast forms some genuine relationships with the supporting cast unlike Fujin). I write this review to recommend this to anyone looking for a fic where a normal human is reincarnated in the Naruto(without those insufferable system, golden fingers and other unrealistic cheats). The MC is a normal human so expect him to make flawed decisions(if not a bit wimpy but you can get behind that as after he gains confindence the more he fights)but it is satisfying watching him start out losing fights everyday to winning fights everyday. The only problem I have with this is that the author wrote himself into a corner with his absurd power levels. It took 250+ chapters for the MC to gain chunin level strength and so it would take upto 700+ chapters for the MC to reach kage level strength(but this I feel like it ain't problem as the reason it took a long time was because of lack of resources which he now has in abundance due to his different mentors). Another thing is I remember that there was a difference btn jounin and kage level tiers(Elite jounin)🤔 but maybe I consumed too much fanfics. Anyways for those reading don't be discouraged by the first reviews as they all blinded by hate or simply loves MC who curb stomps everyone from the first chapter(if your are the same then this is not for you). If you want a relatable naruto fic then this is for you.
After more than 310 chapters, I finally feel like leaving a comment on this work. Mainly because I think it deserves one more good review to balance the bad (and unfair) ones. To put it simply: it is very good. Go for it! To put it comprehensively : it is very good. But, before going for it, read the description by the author: everything is here somewhat. And it is a bit different from what we are used to in the fanfiction world (and is is refreshing!). This story is about a nobody with no broken talent and genetics (so far) coming from a fairly bad upbringing and trying his best in a most violent world. It's a story about true grit, intellect and flaws. It's a story where jonin are the peak of their craft but not some weapons of mass destruction (which I always disliked in the original work), or, the opposite, some stepping stones for Gary or Mary Sues (which I always despised from a narrative POV in the fanfictions). It's a story where the characters feel real with their own personality and quirks ; where their relationships feel real and evolve with the events. It's a story about society's flaws, violence and war. The world building is great with a lot of work put into the "underworld" and the functioning of the ninja/samurai society. At first, it seemed bland, but the past of the main character (his vessel) seems connected to the world building and add a bit of welcomed mystery. The fights are well written and focus more on techniques, tactics and deception than brute force (and it improves with time). Which brings us to the skillset of the main character: a bit underwhelming at first glance, it appears fitting with time if you are of the opinion that a good ninja is more of a spy/assassin/infiltrator who fights primarily with his mind and ruthlessness. And yet, Takuma shows great potential and his fights are more and more interesting. It is also funny at moments (not a comedy though). Of course, not all is perfect. The pace is indeed a bit slow and some arcs could have been shortened (Genin Corps and Military police for instance). There is a lot of side characters in each arcs that are here to offer another POV (which is fine) but, sometimes, we spend to much time with them. But, mainly, and it is a critic adressed to most (all?) fanfictions really, the goals and motivations of the main character are not well underlined : so far (314 chapters) the goal has been merely surviving/making a living in a violent world with unclear/bland motivations (surviving is ok but it is not emotionally compelling). Also, again a critic to all fanfictions, there is a lack of real antagonist(s) : it changed recently (somewhat), but there should be a clear (and dangerous) adversary that clash with the MC and its goals/ethics. And it should feel personal. It is taking this direction but it might be late for most readers. To round it up, it is a fairly realistic approach of the Naruto Verse, in the vein of Hear The Silence for those who know it. It has its downsides, sure, but if you are sick of the power fantasy seen in other works (which can be fun, hear me), this story might be what you're looking for: grounded, well-written, character based. Enjoy!
Everything to the minut details perfact . good writing withe good charector development.first i thought what a shitystory this is but this story keep their readers occupied with the story .a1 quality love this
I really think this fanfic is one of the best I've ever read or will ever read, your way of writing and how you weave all the parts of your story together is phenomenal. I love how you develop it slowly, unfortunately I'm not up to date with your patreon, I wish I was; so I don't know if Takuma will join Anbu, but I think this will give him a range of possibilities and expand the story in a good way. I could say a few more things but those are just my ideas. Without further ado, I loved your story, I hope you continue with the project, someday I'll be able to collaborate to support you.
Reveal SpoilerThis is a really good fanfiction novel. One of the best Naruto ones that I’ve read. The MC doesn’t get ludicrously over powered within 200 chapters like most Naruto fanfics I read. The author avoids the usual traps of fanfiction writing where the OCs aside from the MC are super flat and boring. Most of the OCs are compelling and really made me enjoy the novel. Author also does a good job of weaving in canon characters into the narrative without it felling shoehorned. My biggest gripe about this novel is how long it took for things to really get going. Those first 50-75 chapters are agonizingly slow and mind numbingly boring. I was able to push through them and got to the meat of the novel and good god have I enjoyed it. The author has been cooking up a 3 Michelin star meal in here it just takes so long to get to it. I can’t wait to see what the author has planned next for this work because I can tell that this is something truly special. I hope he doesn’t get bored with the novel and drop it like he did with the Kuroko no basket one. If youre willing to slog through the early chapters I promise you it will be more then worth your time.
Good story, it has everything I like (a well-established world without a system without a golden finger without the mc being God) I can't ask for more in a story. I think the mc is good, it's not the best in the world but it's good, the truth is I don't understand those who complain that I cried and got frustrated. I was a university student who arrived for no reason in a world of soldiers with superpowers and realizes that he can't do anything and that literally any random person can kill him I think is enough justification to cause anxiety. I like the structure that the author establishes in the world, the question of mission points for the purchase of jutsu and that in order to do so you need to do a considerable number of missions to be able to change it for one, it only forces the mc to think in order to get it out the best benefit is great. The growth rate of the MC seems good to me. It started out as the weakest in its class and in 3 years it is already much stronger than most of them. It seems more than acceptable to me.
Reveal SpoilerHonestly I don't usually review but seeing the low star comments I feel like I have to. first thing I'll say is that this isn't a repeat of the anime at all, hell I think he's met Naruto twice in around 300 chapters for me at least this story is pretty great, the upload schedule is three chapters every week I believe and even then they are long. I feel like it isn't as valued as it should be because it's different to the usual Naruto fanfics on WN, this story shows real growth and more than anything it's realistic as in he works very hard for his power. Also, don't expect him to be strong soon as he starts well behind of his classmates but he grows up to be pretty amazing. To end my review I'll just say that what I like most about this ff is the world building and how creative the author is about things untouched by cannon.
Reveal SpoilerA good Naruto fanfic. Consistent, well written, good main characters. The only thing that isn't very well developed are the secondary characters who seem quite superficial at times; the main character is annoying at times. But overall it's a great read.
I enjoy the authenticity of the work. I was growing tired of the OP mc. I enjoy the pacing which allows me to really enjoy the story. I am a pretty big reader and I am really enjoying the story. Keep up the good work
I think this story is much better than some of the comment section says.. actually I love it! there are some things about the MC and his character development that I understand is not everybodys cup of tee. but on the other side I really love the ideas the author come up with, like how he trains his taijutsu skills and gets real fighting experience. I read the story on royalroad but wanted to leave that here. its a good story!
The author is a great writer, but don't trust the synopsis, this is not the story of a normal guy, it's the story of a little shit, a guy who is simply worse than the others. It's the story of how a person with below average skills in absolutely everything transmigrates into Naruto.
I feel angry at myself for ignoring this fic due to negative reviews when it first started. People are used to power fantasies where the main character gains omnipotence in 20 chapters. This is not one of those so they hate on this fic for being realistic and presenting actual progress and character development.
Best Naruto ff. Writing is Solid. what hooked me was when it root attacked mc on the same level or better than Naruto wind calamity. Pros:- Phenomenal character development Power scaling [MC as of now chaper 325 is the Strongest Chunin and maybe he got wood style] Side characters Slow Romance Mystery of the og body Relationships and emotional depiction Cons :- too much Slow paces in starting 100 chapters Extended Polic & Genin corp training arc
