Chapter 70: Chapter no.70 Hide behind a mask

[ Nayara's POV ]

I woke up in a room shrouded in shadow, and it took a moment for my eyes to adjust to the darkness. As I stirred, I realized that I was naked, which struck me as odd. I couldn't recall ever having gone to bed without clothes on.

My heart sank as I realize what must have happened last night. We had both gotten drunk and now, as I glance down at my naked body, it becomes painfully clear that we had crossed a line. I feel a knot form in my stomach, and a sense of shame and regret wash over me.

I looked upon him, his broad back and the long, shaggy locks of his crimson hair that splayed across the mattress. Memories of the previous night flooded my mind, and my heart raced with equal parts disgust and anxiety.

"Are you awake?" I whispered, my voice barely audible in the darkness. There was no answer, and I wondered if he was still asleep. I hesitated for a moment, then reached out to touch his shoulder.
