Chapter 401: Be a Man

Once Benedito and I had climbed out of the bath and gotten ready for bed, I still could not shake the feeling of worry as I looked at him. He was laid down on the bed as he tapped on the screen of his phone with furrowed eyebrows. 

I trusted the man with everything in me but he was crazy unpredictable. What if he said he would not kill Evelyn for him to truly make it look like an accident? No one was sure what went on in that beautiful head of his. 

Booger and Bugatti were sleeping on my lap as I gently patted them. Booger was snoring louder than me and at a point Bugatti had to wake up to bite his ear to shut him up. They were the tiny versions of Benedito and me now that I looked at it. 

"Dito?"

"Meu coração," he tore his eyes away from his phone to give me a smile.
