Chapter 307: The Opposite Direction

"With Benedito being gone I got to see the full blown underground work my family did," Dita was already crying and I could tell it took everything in Benedito not to cry for her, "I got to see my father torturing people as he forced me to watch so I could learn. I got see Tomás decay more and more throughout the years. 

I was only allowed to visit Benedito every few months and I was always scared they would know if I told him something. I was treated like an object to my family and because of that I underwent lots of abuse."

"I did not even know at the time because of our lack of communication. Even if I did, I did not have the power to take Dita out of that situation. Our brother however did but he had become such a wreck no one could fully rely on him. When I told him of my plans to marry Emil, I was unaware that my father at the time was willing to replace Tomás with me instead.
