In the past hour I had been all through all types of emotions. Shock, betrayal, anger, I felt murderous, happiness and now that the adrenaline had died down I was stuck in a state of disbelief. 

We were in the car on our back to the penthouse once again and not for one second had I been able to close my mouth. I constantly glanced at Benedito in confusion before I looked back at the road. I knew I had put the terms and conditions down, but I thought he would offer to pay a smaller fraction of the money, not the whole twenty million!

Who wrote a twenty million check and handed it over without a fight. To make matters worse it was like a truck loaded with reality had me. This was a huge eye opener. This meant he was serious about me, about us and I was finding it hard to swallow.
