Chapter 5: Chapter 4
Tacha and Chantelle were back home, they didn't find Lyka at the airport till nightfall and their calls were still not answered.So they came back home to plan their next actions. They had agreed that Chantelle would ask her father for help, if they still didn't find Lyka.

Nolbett walked in while Rex kept apologizing but he ignored him.
"You know well that this isn't my fault, we had no idea you would be following public transport".Rex said to defend himself.
He half glared at Nolbett from behind when he didn't even pay any attention to him.
Nolbett made for upstairs, up to the room where he knew Emily would be.Rex saw this and told him.
" She's asleep already".Nolbett looked kind of upset when he heard this, he had missed her and he had also got a lot of gifts for her.
Seeing the look on his face, Rex tried so much not to laugh,there is always this adorable expression on Nolbett's face whenever he got disappointed, but of course, that adorable side is for Emily alone.
He went back downstairs,still ignoring Rex.
"Never thought you would use public transport". Danica said when she sighted Nolbett, she walked up to him and gave him the cup of coffee in her hands.
"Just the way you like it, Gerald's waiting for you". she informed flashing a sweet smile at him.
"Thanks". he simply said and collected the coffee before walking away.
Rex shook his head at this. He and Derrick were the only one he barely shows any care for.He turned his head to look at Danica who was trying hard not to blush.
They all knew of Danica's love for Nolbett, she was literally obsessed with him but everyone knew,including her, that all she was gonna receive in return is a broken heart. Nolbett isn't capable of loving anyone that way.
Danica herself wasn't a bad woman. She was a woman you would call sexy and hot at first glance, especially because of her pixie Bob hairstyle which she dyed white, her skin, soft and clear, without blemish. Her eyelashes weren't too long,but they were sexy enough to attract attention to herself, her pink lips and her perfect shape also added to her beauty. The only 'flaw' in her is her upturned teak wood brown eyes which were enchanting yet showed such intense coldness.
That was a common feature in everyone of them, with Nolbett's eyes being the coldest, there were no sign of warmth in them.Even when he talked to Emily, the coldness could still be detected in his eyes.

Chantelle andTacha were preparing to go to out when they heard a knock on the door. Tacha went to check who was at the door and ...
"Lyka!" she called scoldingly yet with relief.She was slightly startled when Lyka said nothing but hugged her tightly
"Don't ask any questions, just let me hug you".she said quietly as Tacha just nod before hugging her back.
"Can't believe you left me out of such important hug" a voice which belonged to Chantelle was heard as she joined the hug, no one saying anything but silently comforting each other.

Drake groaned softly as he opened his eyes. He tried to sit up at the same time wondering where the hell he was.
"Was starting to think you weren't gonna wake up again, you were out for almost a day".came the familiar voice.
Drake turned to look at the owner of the voice and was surprised to see who it was.
"Harry?, you were behind everything?"he asked,more of a statement than a question.
"Yes, easy son, you must feel really weak".he said and tried to touch him but Drake slapped his hands off.
"You are still as rude as ever".he chuckled not even sounding angry.
"You kidnapped your own daughter?"
"Stop making it sound like I am some kind of a ruthless father.I didn't kidnap her, I only stopped her from running away from her fate".
" I thought all you've done to her were extreme but I was wrong, this is worse". Drake was obviously disappointed.
Harry only smiled at Drake's words."Oh, you haven't seen the worse of me, if you do, you would probably want to stab me".
"I haven't seen it yet and I so much want to stab you"
Ignoring his glares, Harry laughed softly."Then you might want to bury me alive if you find out what I truly am"he sipped his wine and sat on the chair adjacent Drake,his expression turning serious.
"Lyka's getting married" he informed but Drake didn't even look at him, he didn't believe him.
"Am serious Drake. I am telling you this because I know you've liked Lyka for a long time now".he paused and chuckled as memories from the past came flooding in.
"It's funny though, how she never knew." he sighed, "trust me, if it were up to me, I would want you to end up with her. But we can't always have what we want, we should only have what benefits us".
Drake scoffed in derision and glared angrily at Harry. He knew this was gonna happen before but still, it hurts.
" Who is he?"he asked defeatedly.
"Nolbett Revaz."
Drake stared at him with unbelief.
"Are you insane?, of all people, him?, do you have any idea of what people say about him?, that man is ruthless and not to be trusted, he just brought up his business like two years ago and now,he is the richest bachelor in Beree. What if he is some kind of mafia or has illegal dealings, you don't care about that, all you care about is money, you don't care about Lyka". he yelled with fury.
" I have made the decision already,I just told you this now so it would be easier for you to accept later". He quietly said as he stood up to leave.
"Why do you hate her so much. She would do anything for you to love her"
" She should stop wasting her time. Tell her I said that.You should also rest more and eat. You have been exhausting yourself a lot.".
"I would do anything to stop you " Drake said but Harry only stared briefly at him with a smile before he left.
Drake watched him as he walked out, wondering what he could do to fix the estranged relationship between Harry and Lyka.
Ever since his mom had died, he had been very close to Harry who was his mom's close friend. Harry was like a father to him especially when his father didn't care about him. He wondered why Harry was like that to his daughter,when he is so kind and caring to him.

"Geez! did your father starve you?"Chantelle asked in surprise as she watched Lyka voraciously eat the food they had served her.
"No he didn't, I just didn't want to eat there". she answered as she stuffed more food into her mouth as her two friends watched her.
"Aren't you going to work?" she asked Tacha who passed a glass of water to her.
"Its Saturday, don't really have that much work to do,and also your father won't fire me anyway". her words made Chantelle mad.
"No offence but your father is a real psychopath, I mean what father treats his daughter badly but treats her friends nicely".Chantelle said angrily but stopped when Tacha tapped her.
"Sorry Lyka" she apologized quietly
"It's okay".she offered a small smile to ease Chantelle's guilt as she pushed forward the plate. She had finished eating.
"So,what did he do?"
"He made a deal with me in return for me getting married". she explained sounding so plain and good like she was okay with it.
"What?, and you agreed?" It was Tacha that talked this time.
"Yes, it's a fair deal and I am okay with it".she drank a cup of water. "thanks for the food".she smiled at Tacha.
Tacha was the one who cooked for the friends, even though they were very rich, they lived together and in a simple house,no maids,though Chantelle's parents were against it.
"Hadn't been your father isn't the richest man in Beree,I would have asked my father to ruin him for me.Pfft, fair deal my foot, am sure he blackmailed you"Chantelle whined causing Lyka to chuckle.
"I never even got to ask,who is the man you are supposed to get married to anyway?"Tacha was curious as she helped to pack up Lyka's plate while Chantelle poured herself some wine.
"Yeah, who are you getting married to?, we really should go and beat him up to scare him and..."
"Nolbett, Nolbett Revaz, that's the man am getting married to"
"WHAT!!"both Chantelle and Tacha yelled in surprise while Lyka looked astounded?
Tacha dropped the plate back on the table as she hurriedly sat beside Lyka.
"Wait, you mean the rich Nolbett Revaz?, the handsome one?" Tacha asked to confirm.
"Yes". Was there any other Nolbett Revaz?
" All the angels and their babies!" Chantelle swore, surprise written all over her face.
"Why, is it that bad?"Lyka asked perplexed.
"Yes" "No". they both chorused together
"What do you mean!" they yelled at each other in unison again.
"Okay, okay, that's enough" Lyka ended their argument which would take centuries to end if it ever starts.
"Why did you say no?". she said to Chantelle.
"Why not?, he is rich and handsome".
"As if, are you going to eat his face?, that man has a bad record?"
"What?"
"Don't you know?, everyone says he is gay?"
"That's not true" Chantelle argued
"Have you ever seen a him with a woman?"
"So?, I have never seen your brother with a woman either, does that mean he is gay?"
"Hahaha, very funny. A wealthy man like Nolbett Revaz should have women flocking around him. Also, everyone thinks he is some kind of an underworld mafia Lord. I mean, he just came to Beree two years ago, now he is the third richest man in Beree and wealthiest bachelor in the whole of the country".
"That's because he is industrious and smart, and it adds to his sexiness"
Tacha rolls her eyes at this,"is that all you ever think of?"she asked disappointed at Chantelle as the both of them started another argument.
"Whether it's true or not, I am getting married to him"
Chantelle and Tacha stopped on hearing Lyka's sad voice though she tried so hard to hide it.
"We are so sorry Lyka, we were being thoughtless" Tacha apologized but Lyka only smiled wryly.
Chantelle stood up and walked over to Lyka to engulf her in a warm embrace.
" Can we change your mind?"
"No, I have made the decision, told you it's a fair deal".
"Fine then, let's look at this from the bright side. You will be getting married to the richest, sexiest and most handsome man in the whole of Beree. Just think of yourself as Cinderella who got the handsome prince despite her evil stepmother's maltreatment". She said as Lyka giggled.
"My dad's the evil stepmother?"
"Yup, and I your fairy godmother will grant all your ...."
"Wait, I have an idea, what if you go to meet Nolbett Revaz?" Tacha suddenly said.
" Huh?"
"What if you meet Nolbett Revaz and make him call off everything?"
Chantelle reasoned with the idea and thought it was good.
"Yes, you should so something that will make him want to call everything off" she added as Lyka's sad eyes suddenly brightened up
"Really?, Would that work?"
"Oh it would, we would make sure of that".Tacha said and looked at Chantelle, a knowing smile on her lips.

Nolbett Revaz was sitting in his office when a beep interrupted his work.
That should be his secretary, everyone knew how much he hated noise and distraction, so there was this doorbell-like thing outside his office that they ring which creates a beep inside whenever she had something to tell him, no other employee was allowed there except her.
"Come in" he said in his cool, deep, sexy yet authoritative voice.
"Sir, Miss Lyka Osvaldo is here to see you".she informed as he looked up, surprised.
"Harry's daughter?"
"Yes sir"
"That's fast" he said as if he was expecting her.
' this is going to be fun'he thought and smirked before he instructed Danica to let her in.
