Chapter 13: Chapter 13

As Jeremiah slammed his foot into the cell door again another wave of power exploded from the point of contact and bent the bars even further. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes trying to focus his rather tumultuous feelings before kicking the door a third time, this pulse seemed to envelop nearly the entire cell door before blowing it off its hinges and sending it spinning end over end before embedding into the wall opposite them with such force it sank nearly halfway into the wall.

Jeremiah was about to celebrate when a shock of pain ran up his leg. Looking down he saw blood soaking through his pants rather quickly, starting from his knee and going down his leg. He began to wobble and fall backwards, feeling lightheaded and unsteady for a moment.
