I glare at my phone buzzing on the lunch table of the deli.

|I don’t know what got into me.

|I blame the tequila. Hungover af.

The first half of my shift was rough, but it really should’ve been a nice easy day because we weren’t that busy. However, the tequila gave me a splitting headache this morning, and I’m on edge thinking that Donovan will just pop up out of nowhere and corner me.

I don’t know why he gives me so much anxiety.

He was my best friend, and then he just went on to do better things. Can I even blame him?
