Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Love Is Sacrifice
He humbly pacified Calee's fury, grabbing a fan and fanning her relentlessly to cool her
down.
"You should apologize to Miss Calee soon!"
He immediately changed his attitude towards Leila.
"Why should I apologize? If so, she must apologize to me too."
Leila steadfastly looked at the director. What did she do wrong?
"If you don't apologize, you won't have to come here tomorrow."
Only now did Anita hold Leila's hand to remind her not to lose such a good job because of a
small matter. Looking at Calee's smug face, Leila didn't really agree. But after all, work was
the most important thing. She gritted her teeth, trying to figure out every word.

"Miss Calee, she apologized, don't be angry anymore! It's almost evening, go home to rest
and recuperate early. Tomorrow we'll be back."

After saying that, Calee and his assistant turned around and left.

Anita and Leila have been close friends since childhood, so they understand each other very

Anita understood right now that she needed to be alone. She shouldn't try to comfort and
bother Leila.
The film crew also gradually returned. Everyone worked hard today. Currently, only she and
a few staff members clean the equipment at the set. Anita looked for a familiar figure, but
she still couldn't find it.
"Is he back?"
Her face could not hide the disappointment in it. Before, the two of them had everything to
do with each other. Now she was alone. The person she was looking forward to was her
boyfriend, the same male lead just now, Gervais. The two have been dating since college
until now when both are on the way to building their careers.
Seven years, seven years is not a small amount of time. She spent seven years of my youth

She showered, changed clothes, and cooked some food for herself. Because she lives
alone, her meals are very simple.
On busy workdays, her time to eat and drink is really luxurious.
After eating some food and cleaning up, she went back to bed to rest. It is now past nine
o'clock in the evening, so a whole day of filming makes her body tired. But Anita, still unable
to sleep, picked up the script and prepared to study the lines for tomorrow.
This film is a golden opportunity for her. As long as she performs well, many people will
surely know Anita, although her acting is not much, it is worth paying attention to. If she can
make a good impression on the director, he will definitely remember her in another role in
the future.
While holding the script, she imagined the scene where she could become a famous actress,
making her laugh uncontrollably. She really admired Calee. Ignoring her insolent personality,
it's impossible not to mention her outstanding beauty and outstanding acting ability. Of

Unfortunately for Anita, she is twenty-four this year and her friends who graduated simultaneously are now quite famous. Only she is currently still struggling to apply for the

New message notification sound. She dropped the half-reading script on the bed and
reached for the phone lying on the nearby table. The screen lit up, and on it was a familiar
name - Gervais. She quickly opened the message.
/Are you home yet?/
/I'm back. Why do you come back so early in the afternoon?/
/ I have work to do, so I'll go back first. You should go to sleep. Good night./
/Good night./
Just like that, their brief conversation ended. Most of the day, she and he only exchanged a
few messages like that. Before, the two of them would call each other on the phone every
night and talk to each other about what they had just experienced today until late at night.
But then those calls became less and less frequent. Up to now, there are only a few
messages like that. Gervais spent less and less time with her, almost in crowded places,
even on set. He never noticed her. It's like he's not wanting to get to know her, let alone
