Chapter 7: Training
"You seem to have some semblance of physical fitness, better than the average person and enough for basic overall strength." Yagi explained to me that I just ignored it, I was currency running on a treadmill, with an oxygen mask on my mouth.
"Alright you can stop." He said, to which I nodded and slowed down and got off the machine.
"Now, please tell me what you want to focus on. What is the fighting style you're looking into?" Yagi asked, passing me a bottle of water and a towel.
"I was thinking that increasing my stamina should be a main priority. I also want my overall strength to increase while staying lean, so potentially lean bulking?" I replied.
If my body works similar to people in One Piece, I would want to lean bulk since they could hold massive amounts of power even with lean bodies but if my quirk only slightly breaks the human limits, I will have to potentially bulk up.
Sigh, a buff Luffy, who would have thought.
"Right. If you want to maintain stamina mainly, you should definitely not be trying to do a proper bulk. At least not maybe till you have the minimum stamina you want.
Right, I can work with this Luffy, can you please send me your schedule so that I can know which days to meet you. I might not always be free you see." Yagi explained.
I nodded and shared my calendar with him. Honestly, I was a little excited. To have one of the best teach me himself is going to be a good thing.
With Aizawa also teaching me martial arts I should definitely be able to grow stronger, but now I need to find some ways to maximize my time.
Stamina training and Martial arts in the early mornings.
Subject based education in the afternoon.
Quirk training in evening classes
Strength training at night.
I need to try and get 7 hours of sleep daily somehow to help my body grow better. This schedule for 6 times a week.
I will use half of Sundays to rest and the other half to start working on quirk training and become more proficient with my quirk.
I will use the 2 hours I have in between my time for my work out with All Might and school for Haki training.
Wait…can't I ask the school to set up something related to dodging for me to train in my Haki as well?
Right, that should work…I will go back and ask Aizawa later, since only Homeroom teachers can book equipment for their own students, they probably want to track how hard the students are working.
Armament is going to be complicated, since there is a basic strength requirement and I don't really have a method to learn it. Am I really going to be learning so complicated alone?
I can probably learn the Marine powers with Aizawa after telling him my ideas, but most of those also require some fitness so not for now I guess.
And for conquerors…if I have it I have it. It will eventually show up.
"Something seems to be bugging you, Young Kid Luffy." Yagi asked, while scrolling through my schedule.
"No, I am fine, there is nothing bothering me." I replied promptly.
"You know Luffy, it seems like you are going to overwork yourself. There is such a thing called work life balance. While all teachers understand working hard, don't you think you are doing too much?" Yagi asked, after completely looking at my schedule.
"Maybe so, but I will cross that bridge when I get to it. For now, I have to do this."
"If you say so, but might I suggest trying to do some of these activities with your classmates? Maybe before your martial arts class, go for the run with a classmate.
Then, call someone to workout with you and me after school."
I could see where he was leading me to go…training with Midoriya. Honestly, it would not be such a bad thing to get him to train a little from the start itself. If he could get stronger from the start and master his quirk even a little faster.
And for cardio…Ida maybe?
Helping the class beforehand honestly does not sound too bad. Competition is the best way to grow, as they get stronger, so will my drive not to lose.
"If you have no one in mind…I was actually thinking about Young kid Midoriya…" Yagi said.
All Might…at least hide your favoritism.
…
Early next morning, I woke up at 4am and after taking care of my hygiene, I went to school or my early morning training.
Cardio, that was my morning schedule and even the parameters were set in the email All Might sent to me, it seems like he really is trying as a teacher, probably asking Nezu and Aizawa for help.
After using 10 minutes of my time to stretch, I hopped onto the treadmill once again, this time pushing myself to the limits. After about 20 minutes of an extremely high speed, I stopped to let myself catch a break.
Right as I sat down, I saw a kid who was shorter than me, enter into the gym. He had green hair and had freckles sas well.
Almost thought Zoro lost his way into MHA.
"Hi, Luffy-San, I heard from Mr Yagi to come in the morning to work out here. I am sorry for being late, it's my first time waking up so early you see…" He started mumbling.
Great, I am dealing with this everyday now.
