Chapter 20: Across the Line
Andrew Fray POV:
TWELVE WEEKS AFTER HOLLY LEFT
I sat in an interview room at Holly’s precinct. It made me think back to the night I had met Holly. When she brought me in here, I mean, not when she hit me with her car.
I wasn’t here on a social call though, not even a work related one. For the first time in three years, I was in the interview room because I was suspected of a crime.
This time they had gone as far as to handcuff me to the table.
The door opened, and instead of Holly, Samantha the Bitch-Queen walked in with the biggest s***-eating grin on her face. It was the first time I had seen her display an emotion that could be happiness, but all it did was tell me that this was going to be an annoying exchange.
“How the mighty have fallen,” Samantha said happily as she looked down at me.
I just let my face reflect how annoyed I already was. “I haven’t fallen from anything,” I told her. “Why am I in here?
