Chapter 8: Across the Line
Three years later
Andrew Fray POV:
I woke up to the buzzing of my alarm clock and dutifully climbed out of bed. Looking outside I could see the first rays of sunlight.
Heading to my wardrobe I pulled out my clothes for the day. Black jeans, a red button-down, and a black suit jacket.
All pretty snazzy if I do say so myself.
I brushed my teeth quickly in my bedroom’s attached bathroom before I made my way out to my apartment’s living room.
Pausing in the doorway I couldn’t help but marvel at my living arrangements, even though I knew how ridiculous it was. The expanse of my living room, my kitchen (no ette anymore) and dining room.
All perfectly separated.
I had been living in this comparable palace for the last six months after finally saving up enough to move out of that room that I thought I was happy to call home.
Speaking of being able to afford things, it was time for me to leave for work. My ride would be waiting for me by now.
