Chapter 139: Spending the Night Together

***5 Days Later, Location: Hugher High School***

***Monday, Lunch break***

The seat next to Ryan is still empty. Goldie has not yet returned to school!

'Ugh! How long does she intend to keep me waiting?!', a grossly impatient Ryan complains.

'It has been an entire weekend. Could it be that she's still quarantined?...', he wonders.

Yeah, it had been five whole days! The Club Day Parade was held on a Wednesday, so Goldie had been absent on Thursday and Friday. 

And now, it was Monday, the beginning of a fresh new week! 

So naturally, Ryan had thought… 'Surely, Goldie will be back to school by Monday.'

But this was Monday, and there was no sign of her anywhere. It made him worry a little… Okay, it made him worry a lot. Not that he would admit it anyway.

'She was being too reckless during the Club Day event. She must have hurt herself…', he reasons.
