Aurora paused then slowly turned to him with furrowed eyebrows.
"You want to hide me..with your body?" He rolled his eyes.
"Get your head out of the gutters, you're not my type. I prefer my women, you know… strong." Aurora scoffed. She knew he was trying to get on her nerves but damn, she wanted to punch him in the face so badly.
"I'm not interested in you either. What are you, 50 years old?" Yeah, he didn't look that old, he looked a few years older than her. He just smirked at her.
"Yeah…. But times ten," She gasped and was about to say something when she heard her mother's voice coming from down the cave halls.
"Oh no," She muttered then turned to him as she pursed her lips. He had a much larger frame and she could hide behind his body If she wanted but she still felt like her parents would see her.
"Ughh, why did I come here?" She whispered harshly as she ran her fingers through her hair.
"Well, I told you to leave." He muttered lazily which made her roll her eyes at him. She glanced around again but there was nowhere she could hide in here. She saw a small hole in the wall and was about to walk towards it when he grabbed her hand and pulled her down onto him.
She gasped not because of the position they were in but because she finally got to see his face clearly and Damn, was he breathtaking.
His skin was a little pale and that was a result of how long he had been trapped there. His blue long hair framed his face and enunciated his gray eyes which made her feel like she was staring at the night sky. His lips… his lips were even more plump and luscious than hers.
"You stink," His annoying deep voice broke her trance. She rolled her eyes at him and that was when she realized the position they were in. She gasped and tried pulling her hand out of his grip but he held onto her tightly.
"Stop, I'm trying to help you. Get behind me," She furrowed her eyebrows at him and was about to protest when she heard her father's voice and he seemed to be very close.
She turned back to him and then sighed before sitting down behind him. Before she could ask him what he wanted to do, his dark black wings shot out of his back so abruptly that Aurora couldn't help but shriek. They were so huge!
The entire cave shook as he flapped his wings slowly. His wings were so huge that her tiny frame was immediately covered by them.
Aurora didn't know how to feel at that moment. She was curious about what kind of creature he was but she was also scared because she could feel the power radiating from his wings and she knew that this wasn't even his full potential. She could see that he was weak but yet, he still felt more powerful than her father and mother combined and they were the most powerful wolves in all seven packs.
She was about to say something when the door flew open. She obviously couldn't see anything but she knew her parents had entered the room because of their scents. There was one more person inside the room but she couldn't identify him.
"I heard a female voice in here," She heard her father's low voice filled with suspicion.
"What do you want?" She almost gasped at how cold this gray-eyed creature sounded. She thought he sounded cold when he spoke to her but how dead wrong she was.
"My daughter is out of dosage, she'll be needing more." Aurora froze. Dosage? What…. What was going on?
Shivers ran down her spine as the gray-eyed creature chuckled humorlessly.
"Oh, and have you told your daughter that without me, she can't live to see the next day? Because for someone saving your daughter's life, being treated this way isn't the way to repay me." Nikolas' eyes hardened.
"She doesn't need to know anything and for all the inhumane things you've done, treating you like this is the best you're going to get. Take his blood and make sure you take a lot this time, we don't want to run out of it before the month ends." Aurora placed her shaky hands over her mouth as the gray-eyed creature groaned as they stuck something into his arms to drain his blood.
What kind of barbaric action was this?
After what felt like hours, the Physician finally stopped draining out his blood and then walked back to Nikolas and Roseline.
"We'll leave now. I'll have someone send you food later." With that, Her parents and the Physician left the room.
Aurora gasped in shock as the gray-eyed creature fell to the ground, breathing heavily as his wings slowly retracted into his back.
Aurora jumped out from behind him and knelt down in front of him. She didn't know why but as soon as she saw how weak he was, she broke out in tears.
"Why? Why are they doing something so despicable to you? This is all my fault." As she cried, she faintly noticed how quiet he had gotten. She wiped away her tears and glanced down at him just to see him staring at her with an unknown emotion in his eyes.
"Are you crying…. For me?" He asked in a very low voice.
"I'm crying because this is happening to you because of me and I don't even know why. Your arm, it must hurt," She said in between sniffles then grabbed his arm and caressed the sides of the wide slash on his arm carefully. She still couldn't believe her parents would do such a thing to someone.
She was about to caress it again when he suddenly grabbed her hand. She slowly turned to face him and gasped when she saw the anger in his eyes.
"Don't pretend in front of me. You women are all the same!"...
