Chapter 124: Party crashing a siege
The night was clear and, although there was a cold wind coming from the west, the castle itself was bathed in relaxed moonlight. At the moment, a woman with long platinum hair stood on the ramparts of a tower, overlooking a sea of invading soldiers. By her side, two others stood; one was a gorgeous woman with fire-red hair and matching fox tail and ears, while the other was a pale and thin androgynous harpy with dark feathered wings and pale blonde hair.
Of the three, it was only the platinum blonde woman who wore colours that didn't represent the Lukresh family, but all three shared the same dark rings under their eyes, indicative of the constant workload they've been carrying.

AngelAsphodel Welcome back to the castle! I realise that the shift back might be rather sudden, but that's just what happens when you have an absurdly powerful as a friend that says they'll give you a helping hand. As helpful as she may be though, Esmé will not be staying around for long and we'll be back to our main group, along with a few others.
I've said it a few times, but in this next volume my intention is to include more social intrigue elements, all while not only Dahlia, but also Bessie and Valentina continue to grow as well. You can expect politics to be more prevelant, Dahlia's bloodline to get explored more, more magic-y stuff all around, and also an exploration of who might be sabotaging the castle.
We'll just have to wait and see, but I look forward to writing it and would like to thank you very much for following this journey with me as I write it!
