Chapter 55: Solved - (Makai's Point of View)

Later that night, after spending hours trying to break the first clue of the city where the ring might be without success, frustration starts to set in when something suddenly clicks for me.

"Callum."

Storm looks up at me with confused and blurry eyes. "Huh? What about him?"

"I think he may have indirectly given us our first clue."

The blurry eyes become sharp again as he catches on to my excitement.

"How? What is it?"

"Think about it. 'In a City of Players, the Game is Endless.' We have been going about this the wrong way. All along we have been thinking that it meant sports, but we couldn't find any sports that genuinely had no break. They are all seasonal."

His eyes widen in excitement as he catches on. "But not all games are sports."

I nod. "Exactly. And which city is very popular for casinos and gambling?"

"Las Vegas!"

"Exactly. The gaming is endless there, isn't it? And all the people who play games are players."
