Chapter 167: Rule Breaker

I pressed my eyelids together even harder, trying to make sense of what Charlotte was doing. Yet, despite observing the mana again, the only thing I noticed was that hers was somehow bigger, while the skinny dude's was smaller.

Wait.

That must mean Charlotte somehow siphoned the mana from the other spell. With that in mind, I paid closer attention to the individual wisps of mana rather than the whole spell itself.

And then I noticed that mana was gravitating towards her spell. She was basically doing what I was trying to do but in a bit of a different way. While I was directly absorbing and forcing the mana to be attuned. However, Charlotte seemed to be gently coercing the mana to become part of hers.

It was far less aggressive than mine, but at the same time, it was also far more reliable. After all, it seemed fairly easy for her to do that, and collect all of the ambient mana while I had to separately learn how to attune each separate one.
