There were no cheers for me, despite the fact it should've been rather sensational that a first-year took down a third-year that easily. Though, it's not like I didn't understand. This was to be expected in the first place.
The way everyone looked at me was a little different too. If it wasn't fear, then they seemed to see me as more of a monster than human. With the exception of Nathan and Shen, of course. But that's probably because their opinion of me remained the same since they expected that out of me.
Even Jess, who was usually composed, was rather thrown off, looking at me with shock.
"You... You..."
I simply sat back down in my seat while still smiling.
"Heh. I probably need some time to recover, if I'm being honest. But what matters is that I won."
Jess blinked a few times before slowly nodding.
"Yes... you were the victor."
Raisa meekly reached out with one hand, looking at me almost as though it had been years since we last met. But in the end, she retracted it.
