Chapter 13: Chapter 13: The Twins

The building is far different from Dominik’s castle. It resembles more a larger house than anything else, built up with many columns. The entrance room is sparsely decorated, with only a few potted plants set in the corners, and a large scroll or tapestry on the wall.

“Welcome to our humble home,” Zephyr says, waving his free arm in front of him. He pulls a robe off the near wall, wrapping it around himself. “It’s not a castle, of course, but we can’t all live like king Dominik.”

He pulls me deeper into the house, leading me to a medium-sized room, with a low table set in the middle and several pillows set around it. Eurus is already sitting on one of the cushions, legs folded beneath him, sipping from a delicate-looking cup.

He looks up as we enter, eyes flickering from his brother to me. “Do you really insist on doing this?” he asks, looking back down at his drink.
