Chapter 14: Chapter 14: A Big Bouquet

I needed to think with both feet on the ground. Because the reality was the opposite.

I was flying amongst the clouds, having dreams and nightmares at the same time.

I wanted to be with him. But I was afraid of the fall. I was afraid of all the risks I was about to take.

I knew him, but he was still a mystery. Was I right to jump in?

After we talked that morning, Di went to work for her shift around 3. I took a shower, had lunch, and listened to music.

I needed a day like that, to just relax and be myself.

"Aiden came by today," Di texted me. "He apologized."

"What? How did it go?"

"He was sincere. But I warned him about not doing that again."

"As you should, I’m glad he did the right thing.’‘

"Yeah, we can talk about it when I come home. I just wanted to let you know, honey."

I was relieved to hear that. If Di was good, I was good.

Enzo came by as I was finishing my conversation with Di, he wanted to run some errands while he had the time.
