Chapter 160: No Longer Welcome

Later that evening, Miguel stood by the kitchen door watching Gemma moving around the kitchen, opening and closing the kitchen cabinets not really getting anything out. She kept cussing under her breath, moving pots and pans around. She has been that way since he got back from the office. 

"Is everything all right, are you all right?" He asked in a soft tone. 

"Hmm." Gemma walked to the refrigerator and when she opened it, her expression changed into a frown. She turned to look at Miguel. "Our refrigerator is practically empty, you see why we need your aunt to come back?

She would have restocked even before we ran out of anything." 

Miguel closed his eyes, sighing. "Make a list and I will get the things on my way back from work tomorrow."
