I could feel the intense gaze of every onlooker as I passed by. It was intense, it felt like they were breathing directly down my neck staring intently at my face. My palm felt clammy to the touch. Their hushed voices amongst one another while I walked into the ballroom with Luther by my side.

"I told you you were simply captivating, even he isn't able to take his eyes off you" he nudged his head at where Lucien bore his gaze at us noticing the slight grip on the glass he held. It looked likely to break any minute. That kind of look wasn't meant for me in the slightest.

"Nah, I think he is looking at you. Most probably plotting your death." I taunted sarcastically with a blank stare. whereas something else weighed on my mind. He was here.
