Chapter 50: Turning tides

"We need to make sure we have everything we need to take down Tronc and secure our place in the market," Kamal said, determined. "Once we have that, we can worry about tying up loose ends."

The girl nodded, knowing better than to question Kamal's plans. She stood up and left the room, leaving Kamal to her thoughts.

Kamal thought about the events that had led her to this point. She had started out as an ambitious young woman with a vision for her company. But as she climbed the ranks and gained more power, she became more ruthless and willing to do whatever it took to get what she wanted.

Now, as Kamal looked out at the city from her high-rise office window, she felt a sense of satisfaction. She was on top, and nothing would stand in her way.
