Chapter 163: Reward for Patience

Spirits were high and dancing continued well into the night. 

The people of the Ptoman Empire had never been to an event thrown by emperors where there wasn't a clear ulterior motive. Without the weight of an emotionally unstable emperor hanging over their heads, everyone was able to let loose more than they ever had before. 

There were already many who had gone to their guest quarters or their ships if that's where they decided to sleep during their stay. After discussing it with Ebari, Varya decided that they ought to leave soon as well.

However, before they could depart from the party, they had an announcement. 

The music was stopped momentarily and Varya was given a microphone. 

"Before my husband and I depart, I would like to remind everyone that tomorrow we will be sitting in for the sparring sessions," Varya explained. "I look forward to seeing what all of you have prepared and to whom we are entrusting the longevity of the empire."
