Chapter 160: The Life He Desires

Basileus couldn't help thinking of the last time they had danced together. 

Having her this close to him made him realize just how much both of them had changed. Last time she stood nearly as tall as him with high heels on but this time he was a full head taller than her and he could only imagine how tall her shoes were. 

Her hair was longer now. It tickled his hand that was on her waist. Underneath the beautiful dress she wore were the scars from when she gave birth to their child. 

Just like last time, he couldn't outwardly show his feelings for her. He wanted to pull her closer so their bodies were pressed flush against each other and wrap both of his arms around her waist. 

What he most desired was to show the universe that the woman dancing with him was his but he couldn't yet. There was always some kind of obstacle.
