Chapter 225: Arrival in Medeus

The journey to Medeus became more exhausting than it should be due to the constant attacks from assassins. They were truly trying to get on Ferdinand's nerves. He wanted to join the fight himself due to irritation but he didn't dare to leave Arabella alone.

Arabella and Ferdinand didn't get the chance to talk about anything aside from the reports coming from Alwin and the knights.

During the nights, they were not in the mood to be intimate either since Arabella was tired from the carriage ride and Ferdinand was on alert expecting more assassins to attack.

Their supposedly short journey to Medeus felt longer due to this, but after a few days, they finally arrived unscathed.

Arabella's carriage which had been targeted all the time did not even earn a single scratch.

Alwin and Riley also ensured not a single scratch was present among the knights or their weapons and armor. They made it seem as if the journey was smooth sailing the whole time.
