Chapter 64: The Dragon Inside Me

Varis opened his eyes with the sound of birds singing. Sunlight's warmth comforted him. After he stood up, the sun's glare subsided and he discovered that he was in a garden with lush green grass under the blue sky.

"Where am I?" The last thing he remembered was Akiko beating him so hard. Yes, and his body was full of scars.

"Good morning, young man. Do you have any thoughts about everything here?"

A slim man in a loose tank top and black long pants walked up to Varis. One end of the chain around his neck was fixed to the floor. His brownish complexion was the result of too much time spent in the sun.

"What's wrong, boy?" ask the boy to Varis.

Varis enquired, "Who are you?"

The suddenness of his surroundings took him by surprise. Extremely befuddled.

"I'm a dragon inside of you, and my name is Gedebanget. Because of you, things are looking good around here."

After hearing the dragon's answer, Varis was even more bewildered. "But how have you become human, and why?"
