I Will Eventually Embark on the Path of No Return Called a Hero [Arc2] - 28. Just Give Him a Beating
---
"Long time no see! I'm so glad you're okay!"
Astolfo hugged the somewhat flustered Sieg tightly, rubbing his face against Sieg's.
"Let him in!"
Gordes crouched in the corner, covering his face.
"This is so embarrassing!"
Sieg thought for a moment and then patted Gordes on the shoulder.
"Honestly... you look like such a bad guy, but it turns out you're a decent fellow!" Astolfo gave Gordes a thumbs-up. "I really misjudged you!"
"Damn it! Saber, throw him out immediately!" Gordes pointed angrily at Astolfo, who was hugging Sieg on his bed.
"Master, we'll be discovered," Siegfried said, grabbing Astolfo and lifting him up but not immediately following the order.
"Ugh... then just give him a beating!" Gordes scratched his head.
The sight of this pink-haired guy grinning was so infuriating that he really wanted to kick him out immediately, but his rationality told him that he couldn't actually throw him out, so a beating would have to do.
"Eh? Are you kidding me?" Astolfo looked dazed at the increasingly serious Siegfried, as the shadow of the Dragon Slayer loomed over him.
Sieg quickly climbed to the other side of the bed.
"It hurts! Are you lying? It really hurts! Sorry! I won't do it again!"
Ten minutes later, Astolfo, holding his butt, lay on the ground, trembling continuously.
"Good job..." Gordes patted Siegfried's shoulder, still seeing the white smoke rising from Astolfo's rear.
"How cruel..." Astolfo wiped his tears from his eyes, looking pitifully at Siegfried and Gordes. "Beating someone's butt."
"Ugh!" Gordes's chest tightened. Although he knew this Astolfo was a man, his face was just too cute. The tears and his pitiful expression made Gordes's heart race.
This guy is a man!
Gordes slapped his own face hard, then crossed his arms and said seriously, "Rider, I let you in, but there are a few things you need to agree to, or else..."
Gordes opened his mouth, seeming to realize he had no real threat for this guy who would disappear after the Holy Grail War. Besides, the other side was notoriously rational and might not be intimidated by this.
In the end, Gordes gritted his teeth.
"Or else I'll have Saber beat your butt until it blooms! Using his Noble Phantasm!"
Siegfried froze for a moment, then seriously drew his Dragon Slayer sword.
"Ugh!!!" Astolfo covered his butt and shrank into the corner.
Unexpectedly... effective?
"First thing, don't let anyone know about Sieg's condition," Gordes raised a finger.
"Sieg? Is that your name! That's really good... you have a name now?" Astolfo crawled over to Sieg, who was huddled at the head of the bed. "I'm Astolfo. Nice to meet you, Sieg!"
Gordes, who had been ignored, now had a large vein bulging on his head.
The reputation for rationality evaporating was well-deserved, but there's still a price to pay!
"Saber!"
Siegfried's eyes narrowed, and with a lightning-fast motion, he grabbed Astolfo's foot and dragged him back, then raised his hand, which could easily crush rocks.
"I... I'm sorry... it still hurts ahhh!"
Ten minutes later, Astolfo lay on the ground with a vacant expression, his eyes still wet with tears, and a white substance seemed to be coming out of his mouth.
"Remember the first thing?" Gordes opened a can of beef, poured it into a bowl, and handed it to Siegfried, who skillfully gave the spoon to Sieg.
"Got it!" Astolfo quickly nodded.
"It's not just about keeping quiet," Gordes, who had experienced the evaporating rationality, patted his head. "If you go out and act all silly again, people will definitely be suspicious!"
"I understand!" Astolfo nodded vigorously.
"And try not to come here as much as possible. It's best not to have any further interactions with me once you're outside," Gordes sighed.
"Eh!? I can't see Sieg anymore?" Astolfo's mouth dropped open.
"That's not the point! If you keep coming here, won't that expose us!" Gordes felt a headache coming on.
"Ugh... alright," Astolfo dejectedly lowered his head.
"Yes, just keep up this appearance outside and you'll be fine," Gordes nodded, then took out a design drawing from the bookshelf and handed it to Astolfo. "The last and most important thing."
"Mm mm mm!" Astolfo nodded vigorously, holding the design drawing.
"Because of what Saber and I did before, we can't temporarily access Caster's magic workshop. Sieg's body is too weak; the missing nutrition can't be replenished just by quantity, and his digestive system can't handle that amount. We need to adjust Sieg's body, but unfortunately, the equipment is in the magic workshop," Gordes said, scratching his head in frustration. "We need to get the equipment, but it's too obvious if we just steal it."
"Do you want me to steal one?" Astolfo's eyes lit up, then he looked at the design drawing with some difficulty. "But it's so big, isn't it too obvious? Plus, if one piece is missing, it will be immediately noticed."
"Hm?" Gordes widened his eyes.
"How unfair! Why are you looking at me with that 'this guy actually said something so reasonable' look!" Astolfo waved his fist in dissatisfaction.
"Well, it's obviously impossible for you to just move one out, so I gave you this design drawing," Gordes shrugged. "There should be spare parts. Take the parts I've circled on the design drawing and place them in the kitchen. I'll pick them up later. As long as I get these, I can adjust Sieg's body."
"Eh? Are you a genius!" Astolfo's eyes widened.
"I'm already a genius!" Gordes shouted, blushing. "Just answer the question!"
"I swear by the glory of Charlemagne's Twelve Paladins!" Astolfo's smile faded.
"Alright, you can go now. If you stay too long, people will get suspicious," Gordes waved his hand.
"Eh! I still want to chat with Sieg!"
"Saber!"
"Bang—"
The door opened, and Astolfo was unceremoniously thrown out by Siegfried.
"It hurts! Why is Saber always so violent," Astolfo stood up, rubbing his butt, and then made a cheering gesture. "I'll do my best for Sieg!"
"Sieg?"
Astolfo's expression froze, and he slowly turned around like a rusty robot.
"Ah, isn't that Chiron? You're back already? That was quick!"
"Hm?" Chiron raised an eyebrow. "You seem to be in a much better mood."
"Is... is it? Ah hahaha," Astolfo scratched his head and began to back away. "Well, I'll be going now!"
With that, Astolfo turned and tried to run.
"By the way, here's a piece of advice," Chiron shook his head helplessly. "For the sake of that child, don't speak!"
"Ugh..." Astolfo stumbled and fell to the ground.
"Oh God, I'm begging you, please don't let anything go wrong tonight!"
Astolfo covered his head, tears welling in his eyes.
