Chapter 58: Date with Samus-2
Could he bring up the fact he did in fact toss the 'Bogeyman' of night city around? He could, but he wasn't going to just lay that information down, it was a joke for one. Giving him something 'impossible' to do on the first date.
And for two, Samus wasn't like Lucy and Rebecca, two sides of the same coin that loved hard quickly, Samus was a grown woman who had experienced love before, and most likely heartbreak since she was single now.
She's not like those two, who can spend only a few days maybe a week with someone and are capable of falling for them.
So instead he just laughed with her and continued to drive to the shopping plaza.
Traffic was a bit worse now that it was nearing the afternoon but it didn't really bother them. It allowed them to listen to the many songs Bast had preloaded from the past, she even switched her voice and was like a radio host, occasionally slipping in bits of information and or traffic and weather updates like any normal one would, of course all updated to the present.
Once they did get the the plaza they got out and stretched for a bit, David calling over to her. ''So, what's on your shopping list today?''
''I need some clothes, one of my jeans ripped and I noticed that I do not have a lot of clothing, since I was so used to wearing my uniform almost all the time, I need to look at some cyberwear, and some irons. I also need to get some groceries, I'm out of drinks and the jam that I like.''
''A full shopping list then, let's head inside and scan the map.'' David chuckled while they walked next to each other, having his hands in his jacket he had offered his elbow to her, in which she slid her arm around and held onto them as they walked into the plaza.
Scanning the map David mapped out the 'ultimate' route.
''So, clothing, Irons, chrome, a snack, then groceries. Bast can meet us on the other side as well.'' David said, getting a nod of confirmation from Samus as they started to walk.
Thankfully, clothes shopping wasn't as hell as so many people made it seem to be, and in return, he got to see her in sexy underwear. Optics made it easy to scan articles of clothing and to make sure they would fit.
Anything they ordered would be delivered to her house.
David did find a few swimsuits, a few jackets, and some other items for Lucy and Rebecca, he even bought V a tank top with the logo from Samurai, the band that she liked so much. Having them sent to the Megabuilding office, and then to sort through it later.
David had also scanned accessories, watches, cufflinks, bands, necklaces, sunglasses, and a few other things. He could scan everything the make it later but... He had the money, and should at least support the businesses some times.
Once they finished clothing shopping, it was time to visit the resident gunstore.
''So, what you in the mood for?'' David asked while he picked up a smart AR Nokota D5 Sidewinder, one of the few reliable smart AR's on the market.
''A smart rifle? Considered you more a power type.'' Samus commented as she gazed along the sidearms.
''I am, plan to tear the thing down and learn how it's tech works. Wondering if I can use the smart tech to be able to 'mark' someone by using their individual cyberwear and basically being able to identify them through walls.''
''You... You want the ability to see people through walls if you've at least identified them?'' Samus asked, looking impressed.
David nodded. ''Rebecca's gun gremlin thing isn't for show, she's an actual wizard with anything that can shoot someone, and despite my impressive bulk, my sizable cock, and ability to cook. She first fell in love with my skills at using firearms, and how I know how to tear them apart and build something... Wonderous.''
Samus laughed, shaking her head as she grabbed a Militech M-10AF Lexington, which was a fully automatic pistol with a specialized weighted muzzle attachment, one of the more reliable guns that existed.
''If you're so good at firearms, could I ask you or Rebecca to have a look at mine? I know my Ajax needs a tune up.'' Samus asked as they had their guns bought and shipped as well.
''Know my range carry?''
''You're Ajax? I'm assuming you're the one who worked on it.''
''Bingo.'' David chuckled, Samus nodding.
''I'll have you tune mine up then as well.''
''Send me a list of what you want fixed, added, removed, and all that. I'll send you the specs of a few of our irons so you have a good idea of our talents.''
With that the two of them walked arm in arm once more into the chrome shop, a much nicer place. David noticed that there was a few pieces of Armstrong Inc items as well behind a heavily reinforced section.
David watched as Samus moved up to the optics and mods for them, joining her.
''Looking at some new optics?'' David asked.
''Yeah, the ones I have are outdated kroshi, and I heard this new Armstrong stuff was the best for what I want, and what I can afford. You know anything about them?'' Samus asked, turning to look up at him.
David snickered a bit, shaking his head. ''Yeah, I know a lot about them actually. All my chrome is Armstrong.''
Samus' eyes widened a bit before she looked down to his arms first.
''Yeah, sorry. I own one of the very, very few pairs in the world. I was actually contracted to them in a private way, I test these babies out, and I get a discount for life.''
Yeah, the kind of discount that meant he owned the entire company.
''Damn.'' She clicked her tongue, before slyly looking up at him, leaning forward a bit to show off her cleavage, trying to butter him up.
''If you have a discount...~''
''Yeah yeah, I'll order you what you want, just tell me what you want later.''
David chuckled at Samus' little dance cheer, the woman loved saving money. Little did she know he would use the money she paid him later, to pay her back for her job as the manager of one of his buildings.
As they were walking out, David stopped to look over and see a launcher arm. Rubbing his chin a bit before they continued walking, making their way to the grocery store, where they stopped first at a stand and bought some Dango to snack on.
''You know...'' David smacked his lips, having just eaten his first piece of Dango. Samus was already finished with the first stick, she tasted one and then directly took the other two off it.
''This ain't half bad... Looks like I just found a new thing to make.''
''Please, if you make these. PLEASE give me some, these are so good,'' Samus commented, groaning when she tasted the ones drizzled with a synth fudge.
David chuckled, adding that to his 'Ways to please a woman' folder in his brain as they started shopping.
David did some of his own, just of a much more 'expensive' variety.
You could still buy non synthetic items, it was just... very expensive to do so.
Like, he just spent a few million on groceries for a month, type expensive.
He wouldn't let Samus know that, she was blissfully unaware of just how rich David was, and he'd most likely wait until she was choking on his dick to mention it...
For shock factor. Nothing like hearing a woman gargle on dick and then suddenly just casually saying. 'By the way, I own Armstrong Inc.'
This caused David to snicker to himself.
Samus had made it where the delivery would happen at a specific time tomorrow, so she could be there in person to collect the groceries.
Didn't want the homeless to steal it.
It was then and there David suddenly had the idea of creating something.
F.E.A.S.T. is something from Marvel, Food, Emercancy Aid, Shelter, and Training. Aimed specifically to help those who need it, as well as giving them an environment in which they could train skills to find jobs later. Marvel existed in this world, but since the crash of the old net finding comics was harder and harder.
He sent that idea to Bast directly, if anyone could make that single thought a reality quickly, it was her. It would take David himself to long to think about how it would work, as well as all the information, and proper papers to get it done and started.
