Chapter 17: 7 days later
A week has passed already since that little "incident" during training happened, It's truly too complex for me to understand. Cultivation is quite mysterious, all I have is those guesses I made back then. Though as I said before it doesn't matter, I got stronger and that's the point.
Well since it happened I also felt like something, "unlocked" inside of me, like I smashed a boulder blocking my way instead of finding a way around it. Ever since my sword intent evolved to that new level, ever since I found my path. My growth accelerated immediately, I'm more focused my mind is clearer and sharper.
The thing that benefited the most is my sword intent and obsession both of them grow steadily and fast, faster than ever before. It appears I really did condense my sword intent quite forcefully back then. But since I found my path it's already set, nothing can turn me away from my goal. I either attain godhood or die trying.
That's why I decided to change my plan a bit, I cannot do this here not anymore, that would maybe allow me to inherit one but that's not enough. As to what I mean by that you will have to figure it out yourself.
Let's move on to the other things I did despite training, I felt like just staying here doing nothing would be quite unfair so I did my best to keep this place clean and care for it. Every day I would clean up the whole house or at least as much as I could of it so that it won't impact my training regimen.
As for the other members I tried to get to know them more in detail, I guess I like Da Yi and Da Er the most. They are kind of like the muscle heads of the group, but definitely aren't stupid. They were always accommodating towards me and were trying to be helpful. They truly seem like good and honest men.
Sister Yuhe is really patient and caring with me, but as I predicted she is incredibly arrogant with others. It seems like being a healing system soul master really gave her a massive amount of pride. Well I'm not really complaining that also does have its charm.
As for Yi Hen, he truly is a lazy individual but definitely cunning. He is the literal definition of work smart and not hard, sometimes I get tricked into doing his bidding before even realizing it. That's honestly kind of scary I guess that's a control system soul master for you.
As for Hei Long he is quite mysterious, it's quite hard to get to know him but he isn't a bad person. As my Caliburn is an Agility-Assault System Martial Soul, I asked him for some pointers on being an agility system he was quite helpful about it. I'm not really that arrogant not to take advice from others, so I will take what he says to heart.
Weles is a really busy person, I did some sparing and training sessions with the group but he wasn't able to show up, I was using my ice brush for them, it's technically my first martial soul and I will make it my main way of attacking in the future. I wouldn't make the phoenix bloodline otherwise.
Well back to Weles, I learned a bit more about him. It seems he was even studying at Shrek before. As for why he isn't there anymore, it all comes down to why he is so busy right now. As you know he is the next heir to his clan but originally it wasn't like that.
His father isn't the head of his clan, in fact Yi Hens father is. That's why him becoming the next heir was pretty much set, he awakened at rank 6 soul power and inherited a martial soul from his mother's family side, which were scales they were even stronger than most of his families.
Then Weles was awakened his martial soul a year later, he was much more outstanding then him. His soul power awakened at 9, training was coming to him much easier then Yi Hen and was over all more talented. But the most important thing was his martial soul, it was came from the clan which was water attribute by the way, but it mutated. It was stronger, better more unique and allowed for faster increase in soul power. There was even a chance his children will inherit it, that's why he was chosen.
Surprisingly Yi Hen wasn't that jealous of him, they had a strong bond and since they were children they acted together. It just so happened that it made him as lazy as he is now, he is still diligent in his training but everything else is different.
Now obviously with such a high innate soul power and strong martial soul he easily got into Shrek, but it all kind of went downhill later on. Their families patriarch, Yi Hens father went ill. It was clear that he is going to die, right now he is at the end of his ropes.
So seeing as he was about to die Weles was called back home to soon take the ropes by becoming the next head of the clan and govern this town. The current head before his death wants to teach Weles as much as he can before he kicks the bucket.
As such Weles pretty much ended his journey as a soul master, or at least destroyed his chances of becoming a renown figure now that he cannot return to Shrek.
That's pretty much what I learned about it this entire week, not really a tragic situation more like extremely complicated one, but despite all of that Weles seems to be doing good. It also appears that everyone already came to terms with the previous head dying. It's not like they didn't try to save him, it's because they did that the situation seems so hopeless for him.
Well that's all of the news I wanted to share with you, we should move on to the last thing now. Which is Weles called all of us for an announcement he has to make, right now I'm just about to go down for the meeting as it will begin soon. I think I will make some tea down there before it begins in full swing.
So I came down there, it seems no one is even here yet but pretty sure they will be here soon, I quickly went down to the kitchen and started to prepare the tea, it didn't take long before it was made but it just so appears that nearly everyone came here already we only lack Weles.
Since he isn't here I decided to pour the tea for everyone without waiting, maybe he will even come here once we finish. I did a round around the coffee table giving everyone a cup before pouring tea in all of them why by one, of course I didn't miss mine.
It seems that my only place left is on the couch, Da Yi and Da Er are sitting on the two armchairs while the rest on the couch leaving only one space behind. Though with me we might be able to fit one more person as I'm not too big.
Everyone thanked me for making the tea and we waited for Weles to come sipping the tea once in a while, we just about finished half of it when he finally came here. He quickly went in front of the fireplace but facing us.
Weles:"Listen now everyone, I have an announcement to make."
