Chapter 10: |U.A. Entrance Exam and Acceptance(2)|
And so, days passed and came the month of April.
Rhys can be seen styling his long ponytail in front of the mirror with his U.A. uniform on.
U.A. High School student uniform consists of a long-sleeve, button-up white shirt, a gray jacket with blue-green stripes, and a red tie. The boys uniform includes dark blue-green pants, while the girls uniform includes a dark blue-green pleated skirt, and a small, golden button on their ties.
Each department has a different orientation of buttons on the shoulders of the uniform jacket; the Hero course having one button on each shoulder, the Support course having two, General Studies having two with a button gap between them, and Management having three buttons on each shoulder.
"Looking good~" Rhys loved his hair...
Rhys is a handsome half-Japanese young man with a long snow-white hair that he ties in a ponytail with bangs hanging over his forehead while there are two medium-length hair strands hanging on either side and is wearing a black blindfold.
"All ready~!" Rhys grabbed his bag and goes out of his room, before locking it.
"Hm?" Rhys noticed a comb of banana hanging on his door's handle.
A small smile is then plastered on his face.
"Geez~" Rhys sighed before unlocking his door and put the banana comb on the dining table as he took one out.
Rhys once again locked his door, this time with a banana in his mouth.

"I should get myself a bike" Rhys muttered, as he approached the entrance to U.A. High School.
Walking through the familiar corridors, he found a huge door that have '1-A' written on it in red.
'So, I'm the extra in this class? Wonder what kind of interesting people I'll meet~' Thought Rhys as he walked passed the 1-A classroom's door.
He's informed by U.A. that he'll first have to go to the recovery girl's infirmary
"Could it be..." Rhys thought as he knocked on the infirmary door. Rhys had a premonition that his High School time is not going to be as fun as expected.
Just as he finished knocking, the door was slid open
"Oh! We meet again dear." A short elderly woman said as she walked up to him handed him gummy bears.
Rhys accepted three different-colored gummy bears without a second thought and thanked her. There's no point in rejecting free sweets.
"Come on in. I will give you a test in 30 minutes, since you came pretty early. I like punctual boy" The elderly woman gestured for Rhys to follow her.
She's the backbone of U.A., who has the same authority as the principal of U.A. due to her working here for over four decades.
She's Chiyo Shuzenji, also famously known as, Youthful Heroine: Recovery Girl.
She is a short, elderly woman with gray hair styled into a netted bun, a large syringe poking diagonally out of it to the left. She has a notably small nose and eyes which are usually drawn as two little dashes, and a long mouth with defined nasolabial folds.
She wears a doctor's lab coat and a dress with yellow and red vest-like designs on either side, two yellow buttons, and a belt with a pink 'R'-shaped buckle. She wears pink boots and has a helmet around the sides of her head, a purple-tinted visor joining it over her eyes. In addition, she walks with a cane designed like a syringe that she can also use for healing the injured.
'I wonder why am I here...*nom*' Thought Rhys. He had a hypothesis but he's didn't want to think about it.
"Ouch! I accidentally cut myself~ What should I do~?" Recovery Girl yelped before asking.
"What? How can you be so clums-*Bonk* Ugh!! Why would you do that small elder?!" Rhys blurted out before getting a hit on a head by Recovery Girl's cane.
"I'm a patient here. See? I'm bleeding." Recovery pointed at the small cut on her index finger.
"Okay~? *nom*" Rhys answered as he threw a green gummy bear in his mouth.
"...I'm a patient here. Heal me" Recovery Girl said as she pointed at her bleeding right index finger.
"Kah! Kheum! Hmm! What? Can't you heal yourself? I thought yo-*Bonk* Ahh! That'll give me a bump!" Rhys choked on the green gummy bear upon hearing what Recovery Girl said. She could easily heal herself.
'Why is she insisting me to heal her?' Thought Rhys as he rubbed the bump on his head.
"Fine~" Rhys said as he kneeled to her height's level and used his left hand to support her little hand injured finger.
"[Disinfect] [Blood Clotting] [Blood reanimation] [Heal]" Rhys muttered some sort of chanting as his right hand that is hovering above Recovery Girl's injured finger glowed a red aura. He didn't really have to chant to heal, he just needs to imagine the wound healing. But he assumed that this is a test.
Recovery Girl observed her finger that is being healed quickly. Barely 3 seconds later, her finger has been completely healed, not even a scar nor the pain remained.
"Hmm. You passed the test boy." Recovery Girl nodded in approval as she walked towards her desk.
"Do you know anything about surgery and other high level medical knowledge?" Recovery Girl asked without looking back while searching for something in her desk.
"Well...I've read about Surgery before up to the intermediate level and that's the only medical knowledge I have...Wh- Don't tell me..." Rhys state before he realized where this all is going.
"I see. Read and memorize all of these, if you have any questions. I'm all ears." Recovery Girl said as she handed Rhys two thick book.
"W-W-Wait a second! That's over a thousand pages all together! That just scream 'boring'~" Rhys retorted comically.
"There's no rush. What's the problem? You've aced the entrance exam no? You have good quirks, but you need to improve that healing ability of yours. You're taking unnecessarily extra long time to heal, there's a huge room for growth in your healing ability." Recovery Girl stated.
"...Huhu...Y-yes~" Rhys comically cried as he nodded.
'Well, healing is not my forte...destroying and kil- taking lives suited me more in that memory of mine...' Thought Rhys as he looked at the thick books in his hand.
'I might also start liking this cursed power of mine...' Rhys thought as a smile made it way up his face. He somehow made it a goal...to accept this power.
His memories as Asahi Kamado , Asahi Levine, and his time as the battle mage, prevented him from fully accepting this demonic power as they are a hero at heart. Even the memories he had as Asahi Clarke, who mostly used his power for destruction and taking lives, of course, he took the lives of those bad and wicked guys before retiring to stay with his sister but that isn't the end...He spilled even more blood once his beloved sister was killed by her own guild members...living his days for one thing...revenge.
Seeing Rhys getting excited unlike how he acted, Recovery Girl smiled before grabbing her cane and...
*BONK!*
"A-Ah! What was that for?!" Rhys rubbed his bumped head with tears threatening to come out comically.
"Don't just stare and started reading" Recovery Girl showed no mercy to her student.
"Hai~ Hai~" Rhys said as he sat on the patient bed and started reading the thick book.

Meanwhile, with class 1-A.
Shota Aizawa arrives at 1-A classroom and reveals himself to the class as their homeroom teacher. He doesn't waste any time and hands out P.E. clothes to the students and leads them to the P.E. fields. Shota explains that the class will participate in a Quirk Apprehension Test that will test their Quirks since they were not able to use their Quirks in middle school.
Shota Aizawa uses Katsuki Bakugo who is placed second in the entrance exam as an example. Katsuki Bakugo only threw about sixty-four meters in middle school, but after using his Quirk, Katsuki proceeds to throw over seven hundred meters. At first, the students are excited to participate, but their homeroom teacher quickly shuts them down and announces that the student who ranks last in total points will be deemed hopeless and immediately expelled. The class is shocked by his announcement and Ochaco Uraraka declares that the rule is unfair. Shota Aizawa countered that the world is unfair and it's a hero's job to combat that unfairness.
While the Quirk Apprehension Test begins, All Might worries that Shota Aizawa will single out Izuku Midoriya, his successor, almost immediately and goes to watch it in person. The test is composed of students competing in a series of physical tests. During the trials, every student uses their Quirks to excel while Izuku Midoriya struggles since he can only use One For All at one hundred percent or not at all. Katsuki Bakugo does well with each test thanks to the versatility of his Quirk.
The class reaches the pitching test and Midoriya realizes this is the only test left where he can show off his abilities to avoid getting expelled. He tries to use his Quirk to throw the ball, but it fails. Shota reveals his own Quirk, the ability to erase other people's Quirks. Midoriya recognizes him as the 'Eraser Hero: Eraser Head'. Eraser Head explains he erased Midoriya's Quirk because of the severe drawback. He continues to say Midoriya's Quirk will make him a liability and that he has no place at the school.
Midoriya is given one more throw, leaving him with the choice to either use 'One for All' and fail the other tests or not use it and fail this one. Taking his homeroom teacher advice into account, Midoriya throws his pitch, and at the last second, he concentrates 'One For All' through his fingertips. The explosive throw gives Midoriya a high score of '705.3 meters' and impresses not only his classmates, but his teacher and All Might as well.
"I can still move!" Midoriya said to his homeroom teacher as he clutched his hand and holding back tears.
"This kid..." Aizawa muttered as he smiled widely, as if things got interesting.
"He got over 700 meters?!" Eijiro Kirishima yelled in shock.
"Finally, a Hero-like record!" Ochako Uraraka cheered.
"His finger's swollen!...There was the entrance exam, too. He has a strange Quirk..." Muttered Tenya Iida.
"It's not very stylish." Yuga Aoyama commented.
The only one who's beyond shock is Katsuki Bakugo.
'W-What's with that power?! Everyone's Quirk manifest by the age of four. This is unthinkable!' Thought the shocked Bakugo before having a small flashback. He is enraged, not only is he confused about Midoriya's new abilities, but enraged at the thought that Midoriya had been lying to him all this time. Bakugo lashes out in anger at Midoriya, but is caught in Aizawa's capture weapon; a carbon fiber woven together with metal wires made of a special alloy.
Shota warns the students not to make him use his Quirk too much because it causes dry eye. Then he moves on to present the test results which has Midoriya placed last. Midoriya fears that despite his hard work he has failed out of the class anyway...
"By the way, I was lying about the expulsion." Aizawa suddenly announced, revealing that the expulsion rule was a ruse to bring out the best in the class.
"""...""" The student froze in shock.
"It was a rational deception to draw out the upper limits of your Quirks" Aizawa seemed to enjoy 'playing' with students as he had a satisfying smile while saying that.
""WHATTT?!""
"So, any question before I dismiss this class?" Aizawa asked, only to see a girl with a pony hairstyle raising her hand.
"Go on" Aizawa gestured.
"I believed that our class this year have a total of 21 students...I was wondering where this 21th person is and is he the one that placed 1st in the entrance exam ranking?" Momo Yaoyorozu asked a question that everyone is curious about.
"Oh right! The guy named Rhys right?" Kirishima yelled
"Tsk" Bakugo clicked his tongue.
"..." Shoto Todoroki didn't say anything but is also curious.
"That's true..."
Different students expressed their own thoughts before Aizawa shuts them by activating his quirk, looking intimidating, and said,
"Silence"
"..." The student immediately became silent with their ears open, waiting for the answer that will satisfy their curiosity.
"Yes, he's the one that placed first in the entrance exam with 66 villain points and 82 rescue points. A total of 148 points."
"Seriously?!"
"Woah!"
"How did he get 82 rescue points?!"
Different students expressed their own thoughts before Aizawa shuts them up once again.
"Silence"
"..." The student became quiet.
"You'll meet him soon. With that, we're done here. There are handouts with the curriculum and such in the classroom. So when you get back, look over them." Stated Aizawa as he made his way towards Midoriya.
""Yes"" The student answered.
"Midoriya, have the old lady fix you in the nurse's office. Tomorrow will be packed with even more rigorous tests. Prepare yourself." Aizawa handed Midoriya a report and permission to visit the nurse's office before taking his leave.

[Nurse's Office]
*BONK*
"Ouch~! You need to twist your hip more when you hit to have a greater momentum granny~" Rhys rubbed his head as he joked.
"Oh, I see. I really am not suited for battle...As if!" Recovery muttered a fact before getting back to business.
*Knock* *Knock*
"Is Recovery Girl present?" A knock followed by a question sounded from the outside of the nurse's office.
"A patient~!" Rhys happily yet swiftly closed his book, got up and opened the closet. Grabbed a doctor's lab coat that suited him well, wear an extra medical glove over his black glove, and tied his grabbed a syringe on Recovery Girl's desk with green liquid inside.
All this happened quickly that Recovery Girl just stood there, lost.
"You may enter~" Rhys said to the person outside.
"Then excuse me---?" Midoriya entered the nurse's office and the fist thing he saw gave him goosebumps.
He saw a smiling 178 tall blindfolded person with long white pony tail hair, in a doctor's lab coat, with a scary looking syringe in hand.
"Welcome to my little lab~ My experimental rat no.1~ Hehehehe~ We'll have a lot of fun together~ *Squirt*" Rhys said in a weird tone as he ejected a little bit of the liquid in the syringe. Looking menacing like a crazy doctor.
"AAAHHHHHHHH!!" Midoriya screamed as his soul came flying out of his mouth comically, losing consciousness eventually.
*Thud*
"...?"
"*Bonk* It's MY office! Look, what have you done to my patient!" Recovery Girl reprimanded Rhys like her grandson.
"*Sniff* Hai~" Rhys comically cried with a bump on his head. The crazy doctor figure before is nowhere to be seen.
"Now, put him on the bed!" Recovery Girl commanded.
