The room fell silent as Riz stated his offer.

Percival and Sarika look at each other. They were baffled and unsure of how they should react.

The offer from the king is a big deal but there's always a catch. There's no way the offers were made out of goodwill.

If they were to accept such an offer, they would probably be stepping back into a world of power they once knew.

The same world where they were kicked out of.

Sarika was the first to break the silence. "What exactly do you have in mind, Your Majesty?"

Riz smiled, "Not much. If you're worried I'll trick you, then I can assure you on my honour that I'm not. What I would gain by tricking two fallen nobles."

Percival weighed the proposition.

He knew better than to take such an offer at face value.

Yet, something was attractive about the idea of returning to a place where his skills could be put to use.

He rather not live a life of obscurity and irrelevance.
