Chapter 155: 155. A Hassle

"Is something the matter, Mill?" He asked coldly. "A servant was just here."

His eyes moved to look at her standing by the door without moving his head and Mill felt all her courage fly out the window.

"Ah, no Sire." Mill hurriedly said. "I wasn't sure if the servant informed you that Mauve is awake, so I decided to come to tell you myself."

"I know she is awake," he said and looked away from her.

"I didn't know that," Mill said with her head down. "She also told me to tell you so I wanted to pass along the message."

"I see, is there anything else?" 

Mill shook her head. She didn't know what else to say and by the tension in the room, it was best if she left as fast as she could.

"That is all, Sire." She said and started to leave.

"How is she?" He asked when she got to the door.

Mill turned immediately, "Better, her color isn't completely back yet and her eyes look shrunken but I can tell the worst is over."
