Mauve could feel tears falling down her face. She wasn't in much pain, it was the fear that was making her cry. She sniffled and buried her head in Jael's shoulders.
"Yes, sire," Danag said and approached Seraphino who was still bent forward.
"Don't touch me with your vile hands," he stood upright. "I guess I will keep this as a reminder."
"Danag, I won't be in the dining hall for the second meal. I will have it here."
"Yes, Sire," Danag replied and bowed.
Mauve heard the door close and slowly raised her head from his shoulders. She looked up to see him staring hard at her. He wiped the tears from her face.
"Are you alright?" He asked softly, every hint of anger gone. It was hard to believe that just a couple of seconds ago, he had been giving such strict orders.
