Chapter 57: 57. Bed Pleasures

"Come to bed."

Mauve was livid. She wanted to smash something but she knew she had to obey his order. She stood up and walked towards the bed, making sure to not look in his direction.

At first, she had been scared and worried that she had done something wrong but during the bath, she realized her actions weren't as terrible had Jael had made them sound. He had called her weak and little, literally said she was useless to her face, simply because she had wanted some sunlight on her skin and he had the guts to be in her room.

At first, she had been worried that she might be punished but no rule said she couldn't go out and she did not know about the wild animals. Also, she didn't wander and she had come back in as soon as Mill called to her.

She stomped her feet as she made her way across the bed, following the long way. She got to the side and slipped in. She lay at the very end. So close to the end that if she leaned forward she would fall off the bed.
