Chapter 70: Pokemon Saga: Journey of a Lifetime Ch68

Recap:
Our protagonist has been working for team rocket for quite some time. He and his trusty starter Pikachu have been creating waves in the world of pokemon. Right now Ryan is an Assistant Professor and a field researcher on behalf of Prof. Oak. He has an Legendary pokemon as an Companion namely Giratina.
He has also won the Yearly Kanto Rookie Tournament or better known as YKRT. He has also gained the name Crimson Devil after slaughtering his enemies. Team Rocket's boss Giovanni has been very pleased by him and has promoted him to Team Rocket Shadow Force (TRSF) member.
His Current Pokemon consists of:
Pikachu (Starter)
Dreepy (hatched from Egg)
Incineroar (Given by Prof. Oak as a Litten)
Metang (Hatched from Egg)
Crobat (Caught in Mt. Moon)
Seismitoad (Caught in Cerulean Forest)
Kirlia (Caught as a Ralts while training in the Island)
Gardevoir (Joined his party and took up the mother role)
Magmortar (Given by Marco during the Cerulean Forest expedition)
Porygon (Given by Giovanni for joining TRSF)
Giratina (Companion [HAS NOT BEEN CAUGHT AS IT IS A MAJOR LEGENDARY & CONTROLS THE DISTORTION WORLD!!])
Besides these, the egg Ursarings entrusted him and Wendell's pokemon which are recuperating.
He has also alerted Giovanni about Team Cipher's emergence and proceeded to get himself registered for defending against Pokemon wave.
Currently our protoganist Ryan Mortimer has exited the Trainers Association and was stopped by Steven Stone for unknown reasons.

After leaving the Pokemon association Ryan was thinking about Steven. He knows this is an alternate universe but why exactly did Steven came here? Considering his hobby of collecting stones it is safe to assume he came to see Mt. Moon.
"Excuse me" said a voice behind Ryan.
Ryan turned to the source of voice and was surprised to see Steven coming towards him. He was accompanied by an older man who seemed to be his butler or bodyguard.
"Are you Ryan Mortimer" Steven asked as he caught his breath
"Yes, may I ask how you know my name?" Ryan asked raising his eyebrow.
"Well Prof. Birch talked bout you non-stop telling how much of a genius you were" He replied.
"If I may what is your name?" Ryan asked.
"That was rude of me. I am Steven, Steven Stone" Steven replied.
"Could you possibly be the heir of Devon Cooperation?" Ryan asked
Steven nodded.
"I see. . . what is your business with me if I may ask?" Ryan asked.
"Well I was heading towards Mt. Moon but was halted due to the current situation in Cerulean City." Steven answered.
"I see. . ." Ryan said.
"Anyway Prof. Birch informed me that you would be able to help me in collecting samples of stones from Mt. Moon. He also asked for some samples of moon dust for his research" Steven said.
"I can teleport you to Mt. Moon but. . ." Ryan started to think.
Steven asked "but what?"
"I don't have any moon dust samples right now. I would be needing to go to Mt. Moon and collect it from the lower levels" Ryan said.
"I see would it be possible for you to come with us? besides you seem familiar with the place" Steven said.
"Young master you can't go to Mt. Moon! it is dangerous" the butler said speaking for the first time.
"Sebastian calm down. Nothing is going to happen to me" Steven said
"But young master . . ." Sebastian tried to protest
"Okay, I myself need some moon dust samples. . . So I can take you to Mt. Moon" Ryan said.
Soon Ryan called out Kirlia and asked her to teleport them outside Mt. Moon. Soon enough light engulfed them and with a flash of light they were teleported to the entrance of Mt. Moon.
"We have to go through the forest which is surrounding the range to enter the cave" Ryan said as he led Steven and his butler through the forest. The butler had an mid elite level pokemon which surprised Ryan greatly.
He had expected an elite pokemon but to have a pokemon above Lv. 50 was something he didn't expect.
'Seems like I underestimated the wealth of Devon Corps' Ryan thought.
As Ryan navigated the forest he realized that it was soon going to be night time. "We have almost arrived at the cave, lets take set up camp here since it is going to be night time and Going into the cave at night time is not really ideal." Ryan said
"Ok we will rest here and go into Mt. Moon tomorrow." Steven said.
The butler Sebastian set up camp for Steven and started to prepare dinner while Ryan found a tree which was big enough for him to sleep on. He climbed up the tree and slipped into Cresselia's realm.
The next day Ryan took Steven towards the entrance of the cave and asked him "Well where do you want to go exactly?"
"What do you mean by that?" Steven asked his eyebrow raised.
"There are underground levels along with upper levels. Where do you want to go first." Ryan elaborated.
"We will start with the underground level. After all rare stones and gems are ground underground" Steven said and Ryan nodded.
"Young master, there may be elite leveled Pokemon underground. It is dangerous!" Sebastian said not wanting Steven to go underground.
'I get that he is doing his duty but why should he fear Elite Pokemon when he has one himself?' thought Ryan.
It seemed like Steven also had same thoughts. "Sebastian you yourself have a Elite pokemon. Not to mention Me and Ryan also have elite pokemon so I don't know why you are worrying" Steven said.
"But young master it is reckless to go without knowing what pokemon there are inside" Sebastian protested trying to persuade Steven to not to go into Mt. Moon.
"I have an map that has marked the key points inside the cave. Even if we are lost I can always call Prof. Oak for help." Ryan said.
"See, Ryan has made safety precautions too" Steven said assuring his butler that nothing is going to go wrong.
Sebastian only sighed and said "If you say so young master."
Ryan leaded both Steven and Sebastian into the cave and into the crack through which he had went underground last time he came into Mt. Moon to complete the mission given by Team Rocket. Soon after they entered the crack Ryan pulled out his his torch and Glowsticks handing one of them over to Steven.
"Be careful this is one of the dangerous parts of Mt. Moon. We have currently taken a shortcut to go underground faster. This means there are also many pokemon here though they are low leveled." Ryan warned Steven and his butler who seemed murderous.
Soon Ryan and Steven reached The second layer where Steven started to collect stones as samples. He looked like a little kid who had been given candy for the first time for which Ryan could watch him running here and there amused.
"Have you got enough information and samples" Ryan asked Steven.
"Just a minute. Let me just sort them out" Steven said as he sorted out his rock samples.
"Ok, after you sort it out we will go down to the lowest level where we can obtain high grade moon dust for both Prf. Birch and me" Ryan said.
"Isn't it ok if you collect Moon Dust from here. Should we go down to dangerous areas willingly" Sebastian said glaring at Ryan.
"No can do. The moon dust available here are of very low quality. I need high quality moon dust for my research as they give the best result. Besides there are plenty of other resources for Rock, Ground and Steel type pokemons which may interest Steven" Ryan said.
Steven who heard this immediately accepted Ryan's invitation to go to lowest level while Sebastian looked extremely unhappy.
'Hmm. . . wonder why he is so grumpy' Ryan thought seeing Sebastian.
