Chapter 7: Pokemon Saga: Journey of a Lifetime Ch7
Ryan had ordered food for 5 TRC. One thing that was different in Team Rocket was currency. There were no Pokedollers but digital currency known as 'Team Rocket Coins' or 'TRC' for short. He got 500 TRC for beating Kenneth. Why? Kenneth, who was from a rich family thought he could make Ryan kneel and went towards the supervisor's room and started to lie about how he terrorizing him. When the supervisor investigated, the truth came out and Kenneth was fined 500 TRC.
He also used Appraisal on Pikachu the results were astounding:

"Pikachu? How do you have psychic powers?" Asked Ryan. "My mother was an Alolan Raichu and my father was an Electross" he answered. "This may confuse you but you have Fusion Bolt" Ryan Said. "Oh my father told somthing about blood and legacy of 'Dragon of Ideals' not sure what was that about" Pikachu told casually. Using aura he checked Pikachu's blood he found dense and concentrated golden aura.
Golden aura is only released by legendary pokemon. "Pikachu you know Zekrom right?" Ryan asked. "Are messing with me he is my idol. He is revered by every electric pokemon!" said Pikachu. "The Dragon of Ideals is Zekrom" Ryan said. Pikachu processed and every gear in his mind started to turn untill he came to an conclusion "Wait. . . . . You mean I have blood of Lord Zekrom!?"
"Yes" Ryan replied bluntly. "OH MY ARCEUS" exclaimed Pikachu as he jumped giddily. "My guess is that Zekrom must be your Grandfather or Great-Grandfather, but if you really want to honor him you must train. You cannot use Fusion Bolt in your current power level." Ryan said to Pikachu.
'Now the next question is what does it mean by Unique (5th layer)?' thought Ryan. He decided that he will look that up later. As he was thinking a Team Rocket member came telling that he was called to the supervisor's room. He went to Lillian's room thinking what this is about. "Ah, Ryan please sit." she gestured to the chair.
As Ryan sat she continued "I forgot to award you the points allocated for the first place to tame the pokemon. You will be getting 2000 TRC along with these two things". There was a phone and set of balls which included pokeball (3), Greatball(3). "The phone is made specially by Team Rocket scientists. Every member gets one but this one is the newest model yet. It has many functions. It is up to you to discover it. Also your Team Rocket uniform will be left at your door tomorrow."
"Wait I passed? aren't there many other phases?" asked Ryan. "Usually there would be another test but your talent and potential is promising thus, you are made an member. Tomorrow onwards you will officially be an member."
Ryan went to his room and thought about Team Rocket members. Most of them use poison types. He knew the reason why, in this world Poison types are the strongest if you put steel types aside. The poisons of Poison type pokemon can be compared to poison of the most lethal snakes like Black Mamba.
If a pokemon gets poisoned without antidote the pokemon will die. The only exception to this is Steel type pokemon which are immune to Poison types. To put cherry on top recovery items like paralyze heal, antidote, Awakening, potions of all variety are very expensive making them infamous among trainers.
Using the TRC he got Ryan bought Protect TM and Safeguard TM. Both of them are life saving moves. While protect creates a barrier and protects you from any attack safeguard protects from status conditions. He also bought some Energy Powder which he got discount on because he bought 20 of them. Now he only has 100 TRC but Ryan didn't care about money. In this world you can earn money as long as you get strong.
He taught Pikachu Protect and Safeguard. While you can be protected from any attack using protect it can't save you from poisoning if the enemy attacks you after protect wares off and this is were Safeguard comes in clutch it lasts an until the pokemon faints and won't allow any status condition. If both are used properly they can save your life.
While Ryan was pondering this, his instincts flared up. He side stepped as a recruit attacked him. He looked behind to see there were a whole gang of them. There were 40 of them. Their leader seems to be Kenneth. Ryan released his Pikachu and both took stance. "You may have a pokemon but there are forty of us. How will you deal with all of us?.
Surrender and give the Pikachu. At least I'll use it properly by putting a slave collar" He said. Hearing that Ryan saw red, his eyes glowed. Slave collar is an item that makes the wearer obey any command of their master. 'He dares to threaten my family! He shall die' was Ryan's thought. He reinforced himself with aura and zoomed near Kenneth punching him in the stomach.
Kenneth coughed blood as tried to breath but Ryan was not done yet he picked him and threw him on others. He took a knife that he always keeps in the back pocket and stabbed a recruit's heart. Blood started to pour like fountain staining the floor red. Everyone were paralyzed. None of them have killed or have seen someone killed in front of their eyes.
Pikachu took this as an advantage and used a large scale thunder wave to paralyze them including Ryan. He didn't like this bloodthirsty Ryan. Unfortunately he couldn't stop him because of his aura, but fortunately Ryan's rage settled as he felt the the thunder wave paralyzing everyone. He looked at Pikachu and asked with no emotion "I may become like this in the future do you still love me as your brother?"
"You fool I myself killed 17 people and 5 people here which makes a total of 22 people. I would always love my older brother" He replied climbing his shoulder and poking his forehead. "I see you already dealt with your problem" said a female voice. She looked exactly like the female lead from FireRed/LeafGreen games.
"You are. . ." Ryan drawled emotionlessly.
"My name is Gabriel" she answered.
