Chapter 291: Disaster

Hamon's face contorted in rage, "How can my wife be dead? Answer me!"

The soldier flinched at Hamon's outburst, he then quickly bowed his head down to the ground again, "... please forgive me, your majesty, I couldn't help her from the fire."

The soldier had rushed all the way back to Findara after seeing the forest catching fire with Ara in it. Nobody could possibly survive such huge flames, and it was only right that the king knows about it before anybody else, thus he came here to report it. Not even waiting to see if she was alive or not.

Hamon's heart dropped to the ground after hearing the soldier's words, he stared unseeingly ahead with hollow looking eyes, "How should I believe you, where is her body? I will only believe you after seeing it for myself."

"Your majesty, there was no body to retrieve, it was burned to ashes...the flame was too huge."
