Chapter 25: Ch.25 The reveal
The next day, Marinette was smiling, lost in her own world, she had come up with the perfect way to reveal herself to Cat Noir, and was really excited. There was a small part of her that was nervous, but she was mainly excited. She knew that Cat Noir loved both sides of her, and she had fallen in love with both sides of him.
"You seem pretty out of it today girl, even more than usual today," Alya noticed.
"Yeah," Marinette said. SHe couldn't tell Alya that tonight she was going to tell Cat Noir that she was Ladybug.
"Well, I hope you're ready, we have a test today," Alya said.
Marinette's eyes widened.
"We do?" Marinette asked.
Alya started laughing.
"Just kidding Marinette," Alya said in between laughed.
Marinette laughed and playfully punched Alya. The two giggled as they walked into class. When they walked in they saw that Nino and Adrien were already there. When the two girls arrived, both boys eyes lit up.
"Hey, Guys!" Marinette said.
"Hey Marinette, hey Alya!" Adrien said.
"Hey Dudettes," Nino said.
"Hey guys," Alya said before she took her seat.
Marinette took her seat and looked at the back of Adrien's head and smiled.
Alya nudged her gently before passing her a note.
Marinette read the note and smiled. She could tell her, technically, just not the exact details.
lya read her note, she had to cover her mouth to stop her self from squealing in delight. Then she took the piece of paper and wrote a note back.
Marinette smiled. And wrote back a note.
After school Marinette went home and began baking. She baked cupcakes, cookies, croissants and a cake. She also took the time to make a camembert tart. afterwards, she began to ice them in theme with ladybug and Cat Noir. Just as she finished she noticed it was time for patrol. Just in the nick of time.
She set everything up in her room.
"Wow, Marinette it looks perfect," Tikki said.
"I hope so, there's no going back now," Marinette said.
"Tikki spots on!" Ladybug transformed to go meet Cat Noir at the Eiffel tower. Cat Noir was waiting for her there since ladybug was a bit late since she set up her bedroom.
"Good evening kitty,"
He turned around and saw Ladybug standing there.
"Good evening M'lady," he said.
Ladybug went next to him and looked at the city. It was a beautiful night. Not a cloud in the sky.
"Shall we begin patrol bugaboo?" He asked.
Ladybug looked at him teasingly.
"You seem quite anxious to see Marinette tonight," She said.
Cat Noir looked at her and a small blush appeared on his face.
Ladybug let out a small laugh.
"Don't worry, kitty, we should start, I'm sure she's anxious to see you as well," Ladybug said, then flung her yo-yo and began patrol.
When they returned, Ladybug went up to cat Noir.
"well, you're free to go see Marinette now, I'll see you tomorrow, goodnight kitty," she said and was about to leave when Cat Noir stopped her.
"Ladybug," He called out.
"Cat?" She asked.
"Last night you said I passed the test, what test? What did you mean?" Cat Noir asked.
Ladybug smiled.
"You'll find out soon enough," She said and flung home.
Once she got home and detransformed, Tikki flew out.
"Are you ready Marinette?" Tikki asked,
"Ready as I'll ever be," Marinette said.
Just then they heard a knock on the window. Marinette opened it and was greeted by Cat Noir.
"Hello purr-iness," he said.
"Hey kitty, before you come in, do me a favour," she said.
"Anything" Cat Noir said.
"Close your eyes," she said.
Cat Noir looked at her confused for a moment before he closed his eyes. Marinette gently led him into her room. Once he was inside, she stroked his hair and then gently began kissing him. Cat Noir leaned into the kiss, cupping his hands around her cheeks. Marinette felt sparks as they kissed. It was magical, it was perfect.
She didn't want to, but she pulled away.
"I'll be right back," She whispered to Cat Noir.
She went into the bathroom and transformed.
"Tikki, spots on," She whispered.
She then went back to Cat Noir. She wrapped her hands around his neck and began kissing him again. Cat Noir once again leaned in and wrapped his hands around her waist. The sparks came back and Marinette could picture the rest of her life with this boy. This boy who she protected the city with, who she had spent every day with, and wanted it to stay that way.
When she pulled away again, she stayed in his arms and leaned her head against his chest.
"Cat Noir, We've been through quite a bit together. We saved the city every day, and even when we thought we were apart, we were closer than we ever thought. I have fallen in love with every side of you. Adrien, Cat Noir, I love you," she said.
When she said that, Cat Noir opened his eyes and was surprised to see Ladybug in his arms.
"Marinette?" He asked.
Ladybug smiled and nodded.
"Ladybug, I fell in love with you because of your courage, kindness and beauty. Even without the mask, these qualities shine through, and I fell in love with you a second time. You make me smile no matter where we are, and I will always lose myself in your beautiful bluebell eyes. Ladybug, Marinette, I love you," He said.
"Tikki spots off," Marinette said.
"Plagg, claws in," Adrien said.
Adrien and Marinette were left standing there, finally in each other's arms.
