Chapter 19: Failed Attempts

Atlas stormed into his bedroom, trying to contain the anger he felt. The disappointment overrode all his prior giddy feelings.

The thought of Natalia staying with him for his title didn't sit right with him. He had no problem with the rest lusting for his wealth and title. However, it was different with Natalia.

Being the first-ever king to encounter such a fate, he was in doubt about his emotions as well as reactions. For several reasons, he had no faith in the mate bond.

Hence a decision was made on impulse. He was breaking the bond himself. The man sat down cross-legged. With his eyes closed, he tuned out all the noise around him.

It didn't take long before he was left in his mind and space. In his mind's eyes, he could see it. The red string was like a thing that was woven deeply around his veins and arteries.

It enclosed his heart, making it appear caged. Atlas frowned unconsciously. Since he could see it, he could remove it as well.
