Conflict in the Deep

Rienn's Side

How could this happen... Those were the words that ran through Rienn's mind as her body crumpled to the floor. Below her, the floor was painted red as her lifeblood slowly left her body.

When the Deep Serpent attacked, Rienn had had the misfortune of being flung into a separate entrance of the enemy base alone. Her arm and one of her ankles were both broken in the chaos, and she had to limp through the deserted corridors, all without any sense of where she was going. It might have been fortunate that she did not encounter any enemies along the way, but that was just a foreboding omen for what was to come.

Sorry for the delay. I know this one took a minute. Though I am not sure how noticable it is on your guys end, I seem to have a bad habit of creating new characters with out any planned direction for them. Amaria was one of those characters and I had to take some time to think about what I wanted to do with her. Despite not being planned, I think I was able to tie her in with some of the smaller details and foreshadowing that had already occured.
