Conflict in the Deep

"Just how big is this place?" Rune muttered. Following at his side, Luna narrowed her eyes as she looked off in another direction. "I don't know, but we got more incoming."

The complex of the enemy base was huge. The layout felt like a maze that never seemed to end. It was made up of straight corridors and twisting paths which were not limited by a single floor. It was unknown how deep it went and there were swarms of Dark Sahagin at every turn.

"You take the ones behind us. I'll get the ones over here!"

"Right!"

At his command, Luna turned on her heel, brandishing her barrier knife in hand while Rune focused on his own opponents. The deeper they went, the more stronger ones seemed to be mixed in, and Rune found himself facing a Prince along with two hulking Generals, each taking up a spot on one of the prince's sides. Their skin was a leathery black, just like the regular Dark Sahagin they had been fighting up until now, and they were just as ugly.
