Sophie somehow reached her house and sat on the couch, holding the pillow tightly. She closed her eyes and hit her forehead with it. "How could I slap him? Why did I slap him?" she mumbled. She put the pillow down and wondered what would happen if Junwei told Zheng Daniel about that incident. He might cancel her contract with them.
No! This should not happen.
She took out her phone from the handbag and called Wang Zexi. However, he did not answer her call. She put the phone down and twitched her lips, "Junwei must have told his secretary not to answer my call." She tossed the phone on the couch and laid on the couch. She threw her legs in the air while screaming at the top of her lungs.
Suddenly, her phone rang loudly and she sat up instantly. She checked her phone and answered the call.
"Miss Lin, I am sorry for not answering your call earlier. Did something happen?" Wang Zexi asked.
"How is Junwei? Is he angry?" Sophie asked as she squinted her eyes.
"Sir is well. Why would he be angry?" Wang Zexi carried a confused expression on his face.
"Umm… I mean I might have angered him today. Did he get angry at anyone after I left?" Sophie asked as she bit her nail.
"No. Fortunately, Sir was not angry. Miss Lin must abide by the contract rules and everything will be fine," Wang Zexi said with a smile. Sophie hummed and thanked him for answering her call. She put the phone down and heaved a sigh of relief.
"Maybe he is too embarrassed to share the incident with anyone. I will apologize to him tomorrow. But if I go to his office, then he may get angry. I will send an apology message to him," she decided and went to her bedroom.

Junwei stepped out of his car and then walked out of the garage. His heated argument with his grandfather did not keep his mind in one place. His thoughts were jeopardized. All this happened because of Sophie. He walked into the house and slid his hand into his pocket when the keyring with a panda on it came into his hand.
He put it inside the drawer and then took out the phone. He put it on the table and went to the shower. He wanted a cold water shower to align his thoughts. The words of his grandfather reverberated even during the time he showered.
He closed the shower tap and then hit the wall with his palm. "I fear losing," he murmured. He curled his fingers and came out of the shower room. Wearing a bathrobe, he walked up to the washbasin and brushed his teeth. He was in no mood to have dinner. He came out of the washroom after brushing his teeth and sat on the mattress.
His personal AI home assistant Jia spoke, "Jun is back after many days. I missed you."
"Did you?" Junwei asked.
"Yes. I missed my creator," Jia replied.
"I had an argument with my grandpa," Junwei said after he laid down. He blankly stared at the ceiling. "He wants me to give time to them. I have always done what he asked me to. I gave him enough time, I believe. He does not understand how tough it is for me to come out of my past," he expressed his thoughts.
"Nothing is difficult for Jun. I searched in my database. He has achieved all his set targets," Jia stated in her robotic tone.
Junwei chuckled to hear Jia.
"Should I arrange some dates for you? Tell me your ideal type," Jia told him.
"My ideal type doesn't exist," Junwei stated.
"Then, I will search for a woman based on your personality traits," Jia informed him. The blue light continued to blink on the device. "I have searched the database. I have found fifty most eligible women for you. You can date them one by one," Jia said. "I have sent the details to the connected printer in your study room," she added when Junwei asked her to stop.
"Print command has been canceled," Jia stated and the blue light stopped blinking.
"I am not feeling well. I never argued with my grandfather," Junwei said.
"Then, Jun must apologize to his grandfather. I can see that humans forgive easily if their loved ones give them special gifts," Jia asserted.
"It all happened because of Sophie Lin!" He said and again an annoyed look formed on his face.
"Sophie Lin is the nation's superstar. She got to fame at the age of eighteen when her drama..." Jia continued to tell Junwei about Sophie until he asked her to stop.
"I am not interested in knowing about her," Jun stated.
"Why, Jun? I can see that she remains trending in social media. Whoa! One interesting fact about her."
"Stop, Jia!" Junwei finally raised his voice at her.
"I hate that woman. Note this in your database. I hate Sophie Lin." Junwei screamed at the top of his lungs.
"Turn off the lights. I am sleepy," he commanded. Immediately the room's lights were switched off. He pulled up the comforter and closed his eyes.
"I am sorry, Jia. I didn't want to raise my voice at you. Good night," Junwei said.
"I do not get upset. I am surprised to see you getting angry on a day that isn't even close to December 25. Good night, Jun," Jia stated and the blue light on it stopped blinking.
Junwei opened his eyes for a brief moment. That statement made him realize that he indeed was angry at the time of year when he would never be. This was all because of Sophie and he scrunched his brows in frustration before going back to sleep.
